this issue is now fixed in the current Live 12.0.25 version (and 12.1 beta versions)

Hey I finally got it to work.
So yesterday I bought a new SSD external drive. Copied everything from my old drive. Open Live, add folder and it just work with no hassle.
Not sure what was causing the problem but my old drive was HDD, formatted in Mac Os Extended vs SDD and APFS.

Tried updating to latest Live 12 version but still can't add a folder from an external drive to the browser in places.
Live can see the external SSD I have setup for file caching and live recordings and uses it, but won't add the folder from the 2nd (seperate) Sample library SSD.

I have exactly the same issue. Work fine with internal drive folder but not with folder on external drive.
Have been asking around from reddit to discord but It’s seems to be a very rare case. I only found one guy with the same issue. Btw I’m on Monterey too that’s could be the case.

Live 12 won't add this folder to places.

Is or was Live 11 open before you started Live 12?
If so, close all versions of Live, reopen Live 12, and try adding the folder ...

I have just upgraded to Live 12 suite from 11 suite.
I am on an Apple mac mini M1 with macOS Monterey.
I have my sample library folder on an external SSD.
Not that either of those things should have anything to do with the issue I have.
I have my sample library folder added to places in Live 11 ...

It can be an upgraded version of what's there now, or something totally new. Instrument or audio effect, up to you. What's the one thing you find yourself wishing for over and over (or going to third party options for) when using Live?

Is there a way to pass browser preview audio through Spectrum with Max for Live?

When a sample or clip preview is triggered in the browser, preview audio outputs through the Cue.

I know about Soundflower, Loopback etc. (virtual audio cables)
