Re: better time stretch algorithm
Sometimes I use Ableton Live 8 for DJ'ing or DJ Mixes. In my opinion the time stretch algorithm "Complex" and "Complex Pro" sounds bad. I loose lots of dynamics and have less clear sound even when just pitched a track +/- 0.2 BPM. The warping technique with previous Ableton versi...

Trick to record more than 2 GB with Ableton 6 ????
Is there a trick to record a file of more than 2 GB with Ableton 6?
I am really frustrated because I actually wanted to record my whole DJ-Set and not just the first half of it.
I appreciate any help. Thanks in advance.

I usually monitor the ableton track from my soundcard while cueing and then disengage the bpm engine when the mix is in. Are you pressing the EXT-button next to the metronome to disengage the bpm engine or are you just turning off the soundbite micro when the mix is in? Or what else do you do to di...

You also want to make sure that when you're cueing the laptop you don't loop that signal back into the soundbite. After you have mixed in an Ableton track the soundbite micro is receiving the Ableton audio signal through the mixer at this time. Do I have to turn the soundbite micro off then? I mean...

Try going into Live's midi control preferences and disabling track control for the port that your soundbite is connected to.......at the moment Live is waiting for a start message from the micro which you can send by pressing the play button (marked RE-SAMPLE). Personally I prefer to give start con...

Okay, I just bought a Firebox soundcard for 3 separate stereo channels coming out of Ableton into my mixer. I also want to use 2 turntables which also go into the mixer. Is that right that either the mixer headphone`s output or one mixer master output goes into the audio input of the Soundbite Micro...

Trigger Finger - How do I minimize the track tempo range?
How do I minimize the track tempo range with a knob on Trigger finger? Right now the range is set from 60 - 200 BPM`s. I would like to have a range of 95 until 140 BPM`s or something like that. Then the knob would be more sensitive, I guess.
Does anybody know how to do it?

Same waveform colors like clip colors automatically - How?
What do I have to do to see the same waveform colors in clip view like the colors I choose for the clips? I mean this (the green waveform at the bottom): http://img454.imageshack.us/img454/4228/screenshot02sd9.jpg I only have this clip view with every song (always black waveforms): http://img410.ima...

For DJ`ing: What effects to add for a clear & strong sound
Two questions: 1.) What effects should I add to get a clear & strong sound out of my Laptop with Ableton 6 while I am DJ`ing with it? 2.) Would this be the same effects for rendering audio after I mixed songs together in Ableton for creating a Mix-CD? Somehow the result on my first CD sounds lik...
