EMX is great for getting ideas down quickly. ER1 is great for synth drums ESX is a great sampler if you're using tiny samples as there's sod all memory on it. Never used the others. In my experience theyre generally quite good second hand as long as the previous owner hasn't abused them. Mine have a...

boring jobs

probably a topic that's been raised before but what are your boring jobs? and more importantly, what do you do to kill time?

I'm currently sat babysitting a PA system at a conference about funding for special needs schools. They have 2 mics. BORED!

The Korg is great i think. Really easy to program but the memory sucks if you use loops.

Not used a 555 but used to have an SP505. This was trickier to work with but ou could run samples from a memory card. Maybe the 555 is the same.

From what I've read on it it's thought to be a kind of "Crossed wire" in the brain where some senses interfere with each other and don't act as they would in "normal" people. As I said though, that's the impression i got. Associationg colours and sounds to each other is a language thing rather than ...

Not sure I'd say it was synaesthesia. That's more a case of actually SEEING the colours when you hear something. This is more a case of association. I'm the same to be honest. I think we it stems from using terms light "bright" for high frequencies. Read a book by a neurologist who specializes in sy...
