I just got an MPD32 to replace my MPC using drum racks in Ableton.

I set up a preset on the MPD32 where the Pads A1 to D16 send out midi numbers 39 to 99 (C1 to D#6)

Problem is: when you have the MPD32 set as control surface for ableton and try to use a drum rack you get the following note ...
