i found out somewhere that midi is not transmitted through live unless you are using the vst instance of reackor, NOT the au instance.

For example, If I create a clip thats 4 bars long and has an automation sweep on the low-pass filter. And I want to copy JUST the audio sample.. or the midi notes.. etc. I don't want to copy the sweep (because its writtten automation data)

Do you mean software synths? Otherwise how would you quantize a hardware synth?

If its after the fact, you should be ableton to use track delay to get the quantized notes to fit with other "non-delayed" tracks.

Can you phrase the question another way?
