The system could be improved for sure.
Live remembers the last path where you saved a preset for EACH plugin though, so if you create a folder for each p;lugin you save presets for, it's pretty easy to manage fxp's.

I see what your saying, interesting concept, but perhaps a bit tricky to implement in a simple user-friendly way. I often find myself wishing I could adjust the volume on each clip individually though.

OK, you have a frozen track (A). Now you move a frozen clip from this track (A) into another audio track (B). Now unfreeze the original track (A) - the frozen clip in track B is unaffected.
