anyone have a solution? still struggling with this

i have 6.0.11 and yes its set up as a control surface

Im having a problem, the pads on my axiom 25 are activating clips instead of the impulse. Ive tried updating drivers, dumping it, ive looked at every tutorial imaginable but cant get it back to how it is supposed to be. What am I doing wrong this is driving me crazy, btw im using version 6

i have the Axiom 25 (love it) and the only prob I have is if I dont turn it on first then live, it wont work, is there a way around this that Im missing?
