I bought a Belkin USB hub and had trouble with it. Same one I think you're referring to, round shape. I returned it to Best Buy. I have a no-name Chinese USB hub, passive, works great.

You should transfer those credit card balances to Discover with a 0% APR for 12 months and that'll clear the decks for another go

I think the problem is with the Core 2 Duo models, more recent line update..
