With "configure" enabled you can rearrange the order of your VST parameters by dragging them around. You don't have to click them all over.

Just a note from a former front of house guy: if your sound card already outputs a balanced (+, -, gnd), you might just need an adapter to turn your TRS F to XLR M.

If you want mono outputs from your 828, you have to go into the Audio tab in Preferences, select "Output Config", and enable the outputs as mono outputs vice stereo pairs. You'll see it when you get in there. An odd thing happens with the 828 in Live. Because the 828 has more than 8 output...

I would get a iPad if something like that existed. However, I would prefer USB or Bluetooth connectivity since my audio card (MOTU 828 mkII FW) glitches if I don't disable the computer's wifi.

thanks for the advice all. I'm soaking it all in. I think for stability I will probably open reason first then ableton and cue a loop in reason as the first song ends, close the live session and open up the new song in ableton as the reason file plays. Doesn't give me much down time between tracks ...

I wouldn't expect a capability to recognize new gear after the session is opened, but an ability to reconnect MIDI or audio gear that may become disconnected during a live set would be tops.

I would bid, but it looks as though you won't ship to the US.
