I am contacting Ableton support.

I found out that many older VST plugins I cannot use in Live. I have installed Rosette but when scanning it doesn't show up. In Reaper however those plugins do show up. Any idea what I can do to solve this issue?

What I mean is that when controls are mapped and you change the parameter in the plugin this is not saved.

When mapping a control in an Audio or Instrument Rack to a plugin you must use these controls instead of the controls of the plugin? Why? Because when you save a Live set not the plugin settings are saved but the setting of the Rack. Imo this is wrong behavior because often you would open the ...

I've got a friend who is upgrading from Live 3 and it is the same price as me upgrading from Live 8 so I guess there isn't any better of a deal by doing every upgrade cycle.

You're price from updating from Live 8 is how much? I am thinking about not updating from Live 9. For me it's 199 euros ...

turn direct monitoring off. DM means that it will give you the direct signal of live input on the audio interface with DSP processing from the computer.

options.txt is no longer available in current live versions like 9.5 or am I mistaken? can;t find it?

Is there a difference between installing the 64 bit versions of Live and Max and choosing them to run as 32 bit (right click on app icon and choose for 32 bit version) or to download the 32 bit versions? Ableton offers 2 downloads but I don't understand why.

I'm on Mavericks using a brand new late 2013 MacBook Pro. Like this laptop very much. Live also, but instability is not good.

I'm using 64 bit version. And yes, G-force M-tron Pro caused a crash. And Ohm Force Symptohm:Melohman caused a crash.

I love both plugins though. G-force M-tron Pro I'm using much.

But I guess when Live Looping I must try something else.

I'm using it yes, but Max is not always running when I have those crashes. why?
