Re: Novation ReMote SL Compact users: Jumpy knobs not relative?

My compact SL has some of the worst encoders I've ever come across. They've been getting worse over the few years that I've owned it too. I don't even use them any more, just the keyboard gets played. With mine, I can turn an encoder one step at a time and the value will increase/decrease by 1 step ...

Re: Teenage Engineering OP-1 Synthesizer - Anyone here have one?

@Blue_Lu,
pleased you dig my stuff!
I'm thinking that the OP-1 is a worthy little synth and I'm hoping that more will be made with these midi implementations added by the time the next release come about.

Re: Teenage Engineering OP-1 Synthesizer - Anyone here have one?

Blue, that's exactly the info I wanted to hear, thanks man. Your OP-1 tracks sound great. Did you record the individual tracks and mix them in something else, because your tunes have a decent stereo width on them.

Teenage Engineering OP-1 Synthesizer - Anyone here have one?

500 sold in a day apparently. Someone here must have one who can tell us their thoughts about sound quality, synth programming and overall workflow. I'm having a hard time trying to figure out if it's worth the money. Youtube video's seem average and Teenage Engineering have no idea how to create a ...

Re: shoegaze/dream pop sound

You can do some really cool stuff with Lives send section. Create plenty of return tracks and load them up with delays, reverbs, chorus, distortion and whatever else takes your fancy. Also set some of the sends to "pre" and turn the volume down on the audio tracks going to that return trac...

Re: VERY frustrated DJ/Producer.

A true artist will always be creative no matter how old they become.
Age does not matter. Especially now with the internet and all the bloggers that will talk up you music. Nobody needs to know age and what you look like, just as long as your music sounds amazing, right?

Re: Robert Henke Granulator

Stunning piece of patching!!!
I've been playing around with this today using the ml.granulator input and grabbing sounds from various instruments and added few LFO's to control some of the Granulator parameters.
So much fun.
Thanks Robert.

Re: my story about NI denying any help with my Maschine licence

It's not NI's fault. The store has messed up and sold you the wrong thing. The store needs to get in contact with their supplier/distributer and tell them to get you a full license, not a EDU version. No big deal and should take a few days to sort out. If your music store does not sort this out for ...

Re: Deliberate lo-fi sound

Get a four track tape recorder off ebay. This will give you all the "wow and flutter" you need. The trusty Boss 303 sampler is also a great tool for lo-fi recordings and has some great effects.

Re: Scared to play Live live. Suddenly.

Dude, an hour to set up? Way to long for what you have in that pic. 15-20 mins at the most.
And a mac would help for stability if you are finding it difficult in managing a windows machine.
