Re: Features you would like to see in Ableton 9?
Thanks for the suggestion...I do that sometimes, but double-clicking is just more convenient...I know, I know... =P Really, what it's about for me is I don't like it when basic legacy behaviors are changed...and for seemingly no reason.

Re: Features you would like to see in Ableton 9?
Also, I don't like when I double-click a device, it not only replaces the current device on the selected track, but removes all plugins as well...(??)
Didn't it used to only replace the current device and leave plugins intact?

Re: Features you would like to see in Ableton 9?
I'm still using Live 7, so please excuse me if these have already been introduced in Live 8: 1.) 64-bit Version...is it worth it? Would it provide faster performance, etc? 2.) Get rid of the behavior of the hot pink automation envelope that always automatically pops up on tracks in session view - it...

Re: Lower Latency with USB than with Firewire; how??
Interesting, thanks...I didn't know about the FirePod CPU tool, very cool...the control panels for the Inspire and FireStudio Mobile do not have this to my knowledge. Right...I had tried USB interfaces in the past, but I get the feeling that until recently, they were not quite on par with FireWire. ...

Lower Latency with USB than with Firewire; how??
Hi all -- I have been using firewire audio interfaces with both PCs and Macs for a few years now. I had tried USB ones, but as we all know, they have higher latencies than firewire. I was recently troubleshooting an issue and in doing so, picked up a cheap USB audio interface - the M-Audio MobilePre...

Re: Ultra-Portable Notebooks will not Work with Audio Interfaces
that's the problem...the "get info" function doesn't read into subfolders...it only reads one level in. in other words, you're only getting properties for THAT folder, not including all it's subfolders...anyway...

Re: Ultra-Portable Notebooks will not Work with Audio Interfaces
a few reasons, some: there are more free plugins/programs available for PC than mac...also, on a mac, why can't you get stats on a folder, including its subfolders on how many total files, folders and the data size exists in that folder? little stuff like that...plus just having to re-learn commands...

Randomize/Wildcard Button for Parameters on Operator, ...
Perhaps a feature that would generate random values for certain parameters for Operator, Analog, Tension, and maybe even Sampler to generate a random instrument/preset?

Sampler: Apply Parameters Globally or to Individual Samples
Maybe the option to apply parameters to individual samples OR globally? For example, the Reverse parameter currently reverses all samples in the list...what if I only want to reverse one or some but not all?

Thanks. Haven't had time to try EIC 2 yet, but EIC 1 is pretty good...I'm guessing they're quite similar. It sounds pretty good, but in my opinion, it's lacking certain playing styles and not all instruments/playing styles are also offered solo. For example, there's no solo staccato cello...actually...
