APC 40 Mk I and Push 2

I own and absolutely love my First Gen APC 40. I think I want Push 2. (It seems that the general consensus is that Push 3 is a long way off.) Is it bonkers to have and use both side by side?

Max Installation Seems to be broken

Hi folks, So I am unable to access any of the M4L devices. (I do have 10 Suite). If I load a device a block will show up in the track but it will say the Max installation seems to be broken. It then directs me to the preferences window in the file folder tab, to configure Max path, but there is no s...

Re: CPU usage in Live 10

thanks cpyatak for helping and the detailed report (i,m on 9.7) you are getting good results but it seems that others seen strange cpu spikes. i have some live gigs coming up so i think i wait upgrading to 10 Oh yeah, definitely wait if you have gigs coming up. Re: CPU usage in Live 10

thanks cpyatak for the detailed report! and can i ask what is the CPU with the same set in live 9.0 ? Ummm... well, you can ask, but like I said, this isn't scientific, and I actually closed out without saving. (Also as I built this in 10, I wouldn't be able to open it in 9.) Let me see what kind o...

Re: CPU usage in Live 10

anyone with a 5 years old duo core MBP upgraded and having troubles? in 9 i,m always on the edge off the CPU so any extra CPU stress in 10 would be a no go. I'm doing my install today on my 2013 MBP (13" i5 Dual Core 2.4Ghz 8Gb RAM). I had no problems with 9.7 (though I don't use a ton of VSTs and ...

Does anyone here use CleanMyMac?

Hello all, I'm trying to clean out as much as possible on my MBP before going full install on the Live 10 Suite Upgrade. I'm wondering if anyone here has any experience with CleanMyMac, and if so, should I be worried about any files it may assume are "okay" to delete? I'm thinking about files from p...

Re: Audio Mixer For Recording Multiple Tracks At Once via USB

For similar needs I am currently considering the Soundcraft Signature 22 MTK, the Soundcraft Signature 12 MTK, the Behringer UFX 1604, and also some discontinued models by Allen & Heath and Mackie. The first three I mentioned all come in at under $1000. Right now I've decided to wait until NAMM to s...

Re: Any Solo artists waiting on new 2016 Mac Book Pro

Check out Mac Refurbs from the Apple store. I think for your needs, you'll be able to find an older MBP at a significant discount, and they come as good as new. If you're aching for the newest and willing to spend for it, go ahead. But I bought my first MBP a couple years ago this way, got it for ab...

Re: Interface and Analog Mixer, or Interface Mixer Combo

Thanks for the reply Richie. Yes, when I tried looking up the A&H r16 at sweetwater it was no longer. The WZ4 with the USB kit is also enticing -- I think that brings it up to around 1300-1400. Looks like Sweetwater is also not carrying the Mackie 1620i, but it is on the Mackie page. I have only Thu...

Interface and Analog Mixer, or Interface Mixer Combo

Hi All, I'm going to be making a substantial upgrade to my home studio in the relatively near future, which will involve adding a Hardware analog synth (Prophet 6), and an Analog Drum Machine (either the DrumBrute or the MFB Tanzbar... leaning DrumBrute). Currently my production is all inside the bo...

Re: Confused: Audio Interface Setup

Also, as I understand it, the TR8 is it's own audio interface via USB, which also includes 2 inputs on the back that should be plenty for your minibrute. Couldn't you just use that?

Re: Confused: Audio Interface Setup

So the Apollo Twin Duo has two combo jacks on the back and a line instrument in on the front. However, as an interface in can carry up to 10 simultaneous discreet sinals. This is done through the optical connection on the back. So, while you only have 2 (maybe three?) traditional physical inputs, if...
