Yea, like everyone can whistle a tune. The tune whistling world is about as saturated as it could get. But it's only when I hear someone like Bobby McFerrin whisle that I still say that's some great music!

Mathematical fact is that if you record a 120 bpm loop at 44.1 khz, then you warp it to fit a song tempo of 90 bpm, you aren't listening to a 44.1 khz sample anymore! it's now a 33 khz sample.

So, I'm not talking about processing errors or round off errors.

Think about it this way, if you ...

Maybe you can record the clip midi patterns to the arrangement view, then export them all at once? I haven't tried it. 1st make sure you have set up all the midi channels for each track properly...

I'm a new user, but haven't found a way to do this either. I suppose you could add a bunch of Operator control changes to the beginning of the clip in scene 2, or put a "dummy clip" in between the two scenes to apply the control changes...but it's not an easy solution.

This theory goes out the door when you have a software which is specialized in time stretching and pitch shifting of audio files! If you slow down the ...

Thanks for the feedback. Looks like a few people have this idea.

What about saving all VST synth sounds as samples & using simpler to play them in Live? That's probably just crazy, but I'm interested to know if someone has a successful workflow like this.

Does anyone avoid using plugins?

There is so much info on this board about plugin's, it would seem absurd to try to use Live without them. However, I am wondering, is there anyone who works with only Ableton instruments and specifically avoids plugins? What are your experiences? Is your music lacking anything?

[quote="Andrew Russell NYC"]why put a limiter? just watch your levels and don't crank your monitors if your scared your going to blow them IMO... [quote]

Well, other less extreme settings could be too quiet. Sometimes you might set a moderate volume on the gear and the sound is OK. Then you enable ...

I think programming the Axiom pads is like this (mostly from the manual, my own notes in italic ):

< Press the pad you want to program
< Press the Advanced button.
< Press the Ctrl Assign key.
< The LCD display will flash the currently assigned controller for the pad.
< Enter 147 for Note on/off ...

Re: Latest Live 6 bug fix update available: Live 6.0.3!

You might wonder why this version is called 6.0.3 instead of 6.0.2.
The simple reason is that we released Live 6.0.2 some weeks ago for our
OEM partners, mainly to address a limitation bug when Live is running as
Lite versions.

Hi, new here... just wondering.. does the statement above mean if I ...
