let me ask you this:

Did you think it would be easy?
Did you think the first song you tried to write would sound as good as the music you listen to?

if the answer is yes, you don't need a tutorial.

if the answer is no, you need to practice.

Keep working and it will come!

Use automation to vary the delay feedback time, extend when you need it and drop it when you don't.

the velocity sticks will respond you need to move them quite a long way for an exaggerated effect.

But to be honest for velocity variation and groove you can't beat programming your drums live using a pad midi controller.

That's more or less the basic principal, but hop on over to Abletonlivedj.com and search out"guide to warping"

It'll sort you out.

It's a fair point, but the UC33e is such a lil gem for the money I think it'll always have a following.

A cheap lightweight bit of kit that has become a cult classic....I like that. :D

It depends on how confident you are about the drift and Lives autowarping. if its an MP3 of a vinyl rip, it's going to take you a while to go through it bar by bar and warp. if it's a more modern track that has been produced on a computer then you may only have to check every 8 or 16 bars or so to e...

I would love to try it out on an electronic kit too, but at the moment I'm finger drumming on the Trigger Finger. Drum Racks is just a brilliant thing, especially as you say tied up with Drum Machines. I still have a soft spot for guru though and I suppose (might just be familiarity) but punching up...

Re-check your warping against the gnome.

It is the easiest way to sort it out now before you go into a live situation. Nudging is great for syncing to another DJ or live band etc.

But i wouldnt want to be caught doing a set live without being 100% sure my warping was spot on!

The process for turning your buttons into on/off is pretty well documented on the net, just a process you have to do. I think they're gonna regret not keeping the UC33e on, for the money and for the amount of faders and rotaries, it really is a great little bit of kit. Buy as many as you can now and...

I'm not sure, haven't looked into it personally, but I hear that UC33e might not be available for much longer anyway...like gold dust they'll be. :D Anyway, back to original point: If you use your UC33e in a template i find it is just as easy to manually map the UC to Live and then save the set as t...
