Re: exported audio help
there are various warp modes with settings for each, learn them. oh no shit? i warp my 303s in "tones" with a low grain size and my 909s in "beats" with a preserve of "1/4". i've tried rendering with the preserve set to "transients", but have the same problem...

exported audio help
i am having issues using my rendered audio productions in dj sets. once i have exported a finished track, loaded it back into ableton as an audio clip, and warped it, i find that the play back quality is greatly affected if i adjust the tempo of my overall live set. i use a number of analog synths i...

Re: sub bass

Re: sub bass
set corpus's resonance type to ether membrane or plate, medium resonance quality, tune down to sub levels, adjust decay to desired taste, and send audio.puzzlefactory wrote:What's the "whole corpus approach"?

Re: sub bass
do ether of you have examples i might listen to? i admit that i don't really use operator much these days but i'm sure i could work it back into the fold if the results were good enough. how would you suggest i use it? one sustained note with a side chaining compressor sent to the kick drum? im afte...

sub bass
i'm looking to generate some serious sub bass frequencies. i am familiar with the whole corpus approach, but i was hoping for some alternatives. i've made satisfactory sub bass support loops using an mc-202, but i am still not 100% satisfied with my results. if anyone has any techniques or hardware/...

tr 909 midi sync help
i am trying to sync my tr 909 with ableton via the midi out on my audio interface. my problem is that the 909 is currently a small step behind ableton's clock when ever i cue it up. i am aware of the track delay menu, but i've never had to use it before. is the track delay how i would properly sync ...

looking for a new audio interface
any suggestions? i need something compact, with a lot of ins and outs. right now i am looking at the motu; mk3 ultralite. i like everything i've ready about it, but i've yet to read a review from an ableton user. i'm looking for something around $600.

books on audio mastering
can anyone recommend any good books on the subject? "mastering audio; the art and science" seems to have the best reviews. any help or suggestions would be most welcome.

Re: jomox mbase 11, recording in sterio
i want to use it to make my kick patterns and baselines. right now i'm using an instance of utility with the channel set to stereo and left phase enabled. that seems to be working well. is there a better option? i'm aware that i don't want two different kick drums coming out of different speakers, b...

jomox mbase 11, recording in sterio
after a long wait i've finally received my jomox mbase11, and i must say that i absolutely love the thing. however, my one and only complaint (thus far) is that it only puts out mono frequencies. what is the best way for me to record/play this thing in stereo? i've read that some people use "au...

my guess is that you have a high cuttoff on most of your electro synths. if that is the case you could try starting the loops off by turning down the cuttoff to around 5 and maybe even using a filter or eq to reduce some of the highs. as your song progresses you can crank the cuttoff back up (maybe ...
