Ableton 8.2.7 wont load at all (stuck on scanning VST's)

I cant even get past the start screen, it hangs on the part that says loading VST's.

The previous version worked fine.

Help.

I've had a scarlett since June, no problems whatsoever.

I'm also running Windows 7 64bit, and have used it on 8.2.2, 8.2.5 and 8.2.7

Have you gotten the latest drivers and firmware that were released in I think October?

yes sir, I am using Scarlett Mix Control version 1.1

Ableton freezes when using ASIO with Focusrite Scarlett

Hi

I am unable to record using ASIO. After a minute or two Ableton Live 8 freezes and crashes every time without fail. It does not do this when using MME/DirectX.

my Audio interface is the Focusrite Scarlett 8in6, and I am not sure if its a problem with their ASIO drivers or Ableton Live 8 itself ...
