Re: X-tempo Pok wireless midi foot controller

That delay is because of the double=press function. If you have double-press enabled, the pok waits for a possible second press before transmitting. Disable double-press and the latency should be gone. Thanks for your quick reply tribalc, I appreciate it. I also got a fast reply from Trevor at POK ...

Re: X-tempo Pok wireless midi foot controller

Hmm, I just took delivery of one of these. There's a 350 ms (ish) latency between hitting a switch and the action commencing. Hitting the same key on the keyboard (that the POK transmits)is immediate. I've searched the net, most people say it has no latency and only one person had the same experienc...

Re: No Metronome Settings?

You can replace the default metronome sounds. You have to do it manually for each new Live version, though ... Cheers Paddy that's useful info. Btw I enjoyed that interview with you and Michael that I caught on Youtube recently. For those that may be interested it's in 8 parts and starts here: http...

Re: Pickup in clip - how to handle musical pickups before a loop

There are at least two ways that I do this, both apply to slightly different situations. One is to record the clip with a pickup - say two bars; one bar with a half bar pickup and the second bar you wish to loop. Then set the loop to only loop round the part that you wish to loop and trigger the cli...

Re: Live EQ and compressor compared to 3rd party plugins

Live's compressor is the best I've used that's come with a DAW +1 I find Live's compressor superb. It's a really flexible und useful plug and has all the options to accomplish almost any type of compression - from subtle RMS squeezing to peak/hardknee drum mashing to vintage levelling. That, plus a...

I've been having the same problem with the Launchpad.

Record a new clip on the fly then having to frantically scroll around searching for the active scene before it comes time to trigger the next scene in the set.

Re: A good dubby delay recommendations

+ 1 on creating a custom dub delay rack on in Live.

But if you want a simpler solution, I heartily recommend Bionic Delay for that Jamaican studio flavour.

Re: Novation Nio 2/4 crackling above 2ms buffer length?

Dalfir, try first choosing the Nio driver in Live's audio driver selector box and putting the slider up to say 12 ms Then go back and reselect the Asio4all driver in Live's audio driver selector box and see if that makes a difference. The slider on the Nio driver dialogue box appears to be active ev...
