I was feeling pretty good about 8, until I used it in a DJ set a couple weeks ago, and it had audio dropouts all over the place, along with CPU spikes, all with not running any third party plugsins. As a result, I don't think I'll open 8 in a situation like that for awhile...

I've had it happen on both 7.0.18 and 8.1.1... sound plays all is fine, Live then freezes, sound stops, nothing happens... I can't remember if the mouse moves or not... then a second or two later it kicks back in, with a cough and a splutter...... sound, everything... from the point of the freeze ...

I'm pretty sure this is geared towards live recording and then looping - but you could certainly apply it to looping preset loops. You'd have to tweak a little, but you could set it up so that clicking your MIDI trigger would set off a different sample each time, and then fool with the loops from ...
