Re: Sound quality: analog vs sample drums
sure you can hear a difference..or why do you think a 808 is still so damn expensive? THe little mfb 522 is however a possibilty to get a friendly priced heavy analog kick experiance. it sounds way bigger than it looks http://www.amazona.de/media/articles/article_images/article_2266/1_mfb522_top.jpg

Re: This Bitwig thing is choking me!!! ABLETON!!! SAVE ME!
Ableton has released a teaser as well. Check the other thread. They are looking for hands on feedback from Live users in New York. i guess thats rather a promotion trick to show users something they need to buy max for live than after they got hooked. At least i dont see a reason why certain featur...

Re: All the little detail problems with Ableton Live Collection
222 when you enable arrange rec ..record a while and disable arrange rec again.. livefalls back to the original arrangement.. so far so good.. but.. when you work on blank space.. falling back to the previous arrange means stop all clips.. considering that we have an infinite timeline..or at least o...

Re: finally... BITWIG STUDIO! beta soon...
I'm not against a more performance oriented program. But I doubt that the Abe's will make any future improvements that don't attempt to keep that balance intact. IMO. i dont think thats an contradiction. A real techno live act is actually having a studio on stage.. a hardware studio with the possib...

Re: All the little detail problems with Ableton Live Collection
221 and one more.. but thats rather a feature request.. when doing multitrack recordings live can be enabled very quickly to record 16 or more tracks on the fly in the arrangement view with the aid of the arrang rec button.. all armed tracks write data to the disk than.. thats a good thing.. however...

Re: All the little detail problems with Ableton Live Collection
220 A set 1:1:!:! new start point along the time line is badly missing. I dont know if that has been allready mentioned. But o just came along that. And in the actual bitwig discussion..thats probably also a point bit wig hasnt in theire program..because all coders live somehow under the impression ...

+ Does Bitwig Studio provide a full featured DAW that meets MY needs? does ableton live provide a full featured daw? maybe with L9.. but as it is now without sysex support..timecode support.. surround support.. not yet really.. And a daw that meets your individual needs? i would say any daw or sequ...

Re: finally... BITWIG STUDIO! beta soon...
at least it will push ableton now to fullwill the workflow related userwishes.. most of the bit wig features was requested a hundret times from ableton users since the first days.. and actually expandon the initial concept while ableton only managed to introduce the fx/instrument concept and age old...

Re: finally... BITWIG STUDIO! beta soon...
its anyway not necessary to have a perfect import..as nice that would be.. just roucgh content without automation and fx rack data would safe so much time allready that it would be a usefull tool.. 100% patch compatibility is probably not really achiveable.. but gigabytes in clips and audio recordin...

Re: finally... BITWIG STUDIO! beta soon...
Bitwig may as well declare this thread their official forum. ;) No matter how this plays out we're all going to have some neat software to play with. I'm very much looking forward to trying Bitwig out, and seeing what Ableton does in response. I think it's pretty funny that we're already seeing com...

Re: finally... BITWIG STUDIO! beta soon...
I can't help but imagine that this is just a way for live to test out new features without telling us that they are going to do something new. It's...just...so....similar... i think that the bit wig guys just had enough from working on a crippled daw and finaly fullfill teh wishes ableton users hav...
