Re: [heh] no access to AU factory presets

My apologies, you're quite right.

My VSTs do have presets, which show up in the VST program dropdown in the plug-in device. I was expecting to see the AU's factory presets there.

[heh] no access to AU factory presets

Not so much a beta bug, as something I assumed would be addressed in Live 8.

Live does not offer access to the factory presets of AU plug-ins, only to those of VST plug-ins. Why is this?

thanks,
os.

Expert Sleepers Crossfade Loop Synth was designed originally exactly for making smooth looping pads out of any sample.

Top tip: currently on sale for $1!

or you can wait for Live 8 and use the built-in looper.

but obviously I would heartily recommend Augustus Loop. :)

The built-in looper announced for Live 8 might make this thread somewhat redundant. Very interested to check it out.

so how does augustus compare to mobius in terms of being able to customize, do things like multiply/divide, copy time from loop to loop, etc.? (i think i didn't use augustus in past b/c was mac only?) maybe i should just try demo, if there is one. thx. There certainly is a demo, so yes, try it out....

I'm sure that by exploring the various parameters I will come up with a more customized sound. For the ultimate customisation, try the Fx Loop configuration, to insert your own effects in the delay loop. My initial impression of the sound was that it was somewhat sharp when changing the Delay Time,...

Hi,

I'm the developer of Augustus Loop. I'd love to know what issues people have with the sound.

Filter works fine, as far as I'm aware. You've changed the Filter Type to something other than 'Thru', right?

cheers,
os.
