My apologies, you're quite right.

My VSTs do have presets, which show up in the VST program dropdown in the plug-in device. I was expecting to see the AU's factory presets there.

Not so much a beta bug, as something I assumed would be addressed in Live 8.

Live does not offer access to the factory presets of AU plug-ins, only to those of VST plug-ins. Why is this?

but obviously I would heartily recommend Augustus Loop.

The built-in looper announced for Live 8 might make this thread somewhat redundant. Very interested to check it out.

so how does augustus compare to mobius in terms of being able to customize, do things like multiply/divide, copy time from loop to loop, etc.? Filter works fine, as far as I'm aware. You've changed the Filter Type to something other than 'Thru', right?
