Re: Live 10 midi-overdub causing crashes. (capture related?)
Hi All, has anyone foound a fix for this? I am still having crashing problems and have reverted back to using Ableton 9 suite 64 which, BTW, is absolutely rock solid and worth every penny. How can Ableton just stay quiet through this? It is an abvious case of slack programming. I have paid for an up...

Re: Live 10 midi-overdub causing hangs
I believe I am having the same issues. I have had the retail version of Live10 since it came out and it is so frustrating to to experience it crashing during a recording session . I have reverted back to Live 9 to stay productive and am hoping that Ableton will find a solution soon. Approximately ev...

Live 10 crashing during recording
Hi Guys,
is anyone experiencing crashes in Live 10 during MIDI recording? My Live 9 is solid as a rock and never crashes so I can't understand why this is happening.
It happens on all of my equipment which works perfectly on Live 9
Look forward to any replies
Regards
Peter

Re: Live 10 is only 64 bit????
Is anyone havng critical crashes when recording on Live 10. It's driving me nuts. 8 and 9 are still working fine, so I guess this is a bug. Ableton just says critical error and that's it.

Re: Is using synth presets 'cheating'?
Back in the day we used a B3 Hammond, a Fender Rhodes, even our Stratocasters had a stratocaster sound (would you believe it) - I guess we were all cheating then???? No, absolutely not! Pink floyd didn't sound like Status Quo and ACDC didn't sound like Styx. So the truth of the matter is you should ...

Re: Just increased the export to audio speed by 400%
I can't go to 64 bit until all my plugins work so what is the point trying to force it upon me? I don't get it. I will use the 32bit version until "all" of my plugins work. My system is more than fast enough. Jbridge slows down the system and creates instability in the system. I tried 64 b...

Re: Just increased the export to audio speed by 400%
after loading the project: 1729174 ms. MemoryUsage: V: 2.3 GB, R: 2 GB, P: 1.9 GB As you can see, if I am interpreting the data properly, the total memory addressed by Ableton (on top of windows) after loading the project is 6.2 GB. nope, that's not what those numbers mean... http://www.techrepubli...

Re: Nexus or Kontakt
Have you tried Massive or Reaktor? They are both powerful and there are tons of free preset libraries for them. Massive presets can be purchased at producer loops for pretty cheap and there are tons of EDM preset libraries for it. If you just want one of them, and you want something creative, buy Re...

Re: Amp simulator recommendations
In my opinion, it is a difficult issue to deal with. If you go back to the days when we used real valve amps and then compare those to the transistor stuff which came afterwards then you know what I mean. The challenges are in the gain settings, if you get those right then you can set up some really...

Re: Do I need Ableton Live or another software?
I think you will find Ableton to be a wonderful companion. It is well-organised and you can see what is happening in real time. It is easy to understand and your clips will help you to duplicate your filter work when making sweeps, rises, etc. You'll be able to see how long they are, when they tail ...

Re: Just increased the export to audio speed by 400%
Ok, I just did some reseach on the memory thing and loaded a project which uses plenty of resources. The project uses several instances of Reaktor, Massive, Kontakt, Ableton instruments and simpler drum racks as well reverbs, delays, eqs and compressors. This is from the Ableton LOG: After loading s...

Re: Just increased the export to audio speed by 400%
Yeah! 64 Bit versus 32 Bit. You may laugh but I have tried it and I wasted about 3 days trying to get it to go faster than 32 bit (about 3 months ago) and I failed miserably. Even though it sounds theoritically logical to go to 64 Bit, it isn't reality but it will be as soon as my plugins are all av...

Just increased the export to audio speed by 400%
Hi guys, I have spent the last six months wondering whether it makes sense to upgrade my CPU. I had read so much crap about not getting much performance gain that I initially decided to keep my system as it was (AMD Quadcore FX4100 3.6 GHz and 8 GB RAM DDR 3 16000). You know what they say, "NEV...

Re: Is a 4K Monitor suitable with Live?
I have changed the resolution of my 4K screen to 2560x1600. That seems to work much better than 3840x2160. The USB latency issues seem to have disappeared and the audio crackle only appears when I resize Ableton during playback. Now all I have to do is wait for a solution from Ableton and Native Ins...
