Re: Massive X presets won't load - Fine in other DAWs!

HI,

Okay, I managed to fix this, so posting in case this happens to anyone else.

I had to grant full disk access to Live in the Mac security settings - That seems to have worked.

Massive X presets won't load - Fine in other DAWs! *Fixed*

Hi there, I can't get anything other than the default Massive x presets to load in Live (11.3.2) However, they load in all my other DAW's Bitwig/Logic/Cubase!! I seem to remember having this issue before but can't recall how or if it was resolved. Any Idea how to fix this? Any help appreciated Thanks

@wildcon I suppose your 75 instances were not achieved with @Machinesworking test, right?

That’s correct. I just loaded the plug-ins with a midi track. I’ll check out the test

Re: New MacBook Pro with Live 11 - You've got to be kidding!!

Hi There, the only reliable stress test for a computer running a DAW is one "to failure" using a trusted heavy CPU sucking plug in like Diva. Okay, so gave this a go... I loaded 75 instances of U-He Diva The CPU just hit the 80% mark So yep, pretty freaking awesome actually - I take it all...

Re: New MacBook Pro with Live 11 - You've got to be kidding!!

Hi, Yep, changing the buffer from 512 to 128 did make a difference (about 10%). I actually thought it would have used would used more CPU! Previously I found that AU's seemed to use more CPU than VST's, which is why I didn't instal them this time around. However, I'm only using Native Live plugins o...

Re: New MacBook Pro with Live 11 - You've got to be kidding!!

Hi There, Yep, I'm on Live 11.1 Yes, I've only installed M1 compatible VST's (as far as I'm aware). I've just removed the U-He plug in in case that was the issue and the original recording. So now only 2 tracks that are native to Live. I am not using any interface, just straight through the Mac spea...

New MacBook Pro with Live 11 - You've got to be kidding!!

I have just got a new MacBook Pro (M1 Max) - It has 32 Gig of Ram and a 4 Terabyte hard drive. Basically pretty much maxed out. I have previously had a lot of issues with Live 11 CPU/Crashing etc and having used live from V2 and consistently had similar issues, I decided to call it a day! I used Log...

Re: Live won't open previous projects from before INCREDIBLY FRUSTRATING?

Hi There, Have to chip in on this one. Still getting this on Live 11. A project that was opening fine, suddenly won't open and crashes Live completely. No changes at all. The last one I was working on only an hour before this happened. This is incredibly frustrating, but having used Live from Versio...

Re: Live 11 offers less than 50% of Live 10

Hi, Yes I’ve noticed something similar. Not had that many tracks going but huge cpu usage from just a few tracks. Interestingly it doesn’t seem to increase related to the amount of tracks added. For instance I had 35% with 3 tracks!! But was able to add a lot more without too much of an increase. Ad...

Massive x - presets not loading and then crashing live!

Hi There,

Anyone having a problem with Massive x and Live 10?

I can load the plug-in but none of the presets will load and when I delete the plugin it crashes live :(

Massive x working perfectly with Logic, so it must be something to do with Live.

Thanks

Re: Logic update looks dope

Live hasn't innovated in a long long time I think part of the issue is that Live was so innovative and such a game changer when it came out (or at least a few versions in when it effectively became a full DAW), that major innovation was probably quite difficult. However, I get the impression that t...

Re: Logic update looks dope

Hi There, I've been using Live since version 2, and have flipped between wonderment and frustration (mainly due to crashing). I moved to using Logic as my main DAW several years ago (has never crashed) and much preferred the mixing environment (especially the 'drummer' plug-in and swipe comping func...

Re: Pad brightness too low to see!!!

Thanks for the tip :) I did have it connected to the power.

Now that it's dark outside it seems much better, so maybe a daylight thing!

I'll try again tomorrow.

Loving it apart from this :)

Cheers
