although 35C is too hot, gonna wait for a cooler Mac Pro

So far the test has been going for almost 5 hours and the temp is still at 35°. The fans are barely moving and the computer is making no noise at all.

What kind of mic preamp can I use with this digital in on my macbook pro? I cant seem to find anything. Im not sure im looking for the right thing. help?

absolutely. the ones on the left and right of the loop button.

set to record from 3.1 to 4.1

arm to record on main transport and on audio track. loop not set; i want it to play from the begining of the song, record through the in out points and then keep playing.

Any way to rename a file within ableton?

I notice you can name clips but the source file remains the same. Id prefer to not have to rename and reimport recorded files ect in finder. Live 6.0.5 MBP

Selecting "master" or "resample" as an input immediately creates an AIF file in "recorded" folder of project. It is a 0kb file that ableton states is corrupt when i try to preview it.

Correct me if I am wrong but punch in markers are supposed to define the length and location of a recorded chunk of audio. I am having trouble.
