Re: Flatten Default Effects (similar to new track default effects chain)
It does make sense to me that Flattening is primarily used to commit to the chain's output. In my workflow, I will commit a tracks audio multiple times. My default audio track loads up my "default channel strip," which is color neutral until I start twisting knobs. It is also integrated wi...

Program Change within Effects Rack on Audio Track
Does anyone have any knowledge on embedding a device that can send program change messages within an audio track effects rack? Goal: As much as possible, I don’t look at a computer screen when producing. I use Guitar Rig 6 for a variates of effects applications, and in an ideal world I would like to...

Flatten Default Effects (similar to new track default effects chain)
Is there any way to set a default effects chain when flattening a track?
In an ideal world, when I flatten a track, it will load the same default effects chain as when I create a new audio track.
Any tips or ideas are welcomed.
Thanks, Neil

Re: Display Macro Value Name instead of Number
Thank you for the reply, Ravanni. In my mind I remembered that mapping Beat Repeat interval to macros showed the division break down, but after testing M4L devices, you are right, I've not found anything that works for the macro. I'll just alter my workflow to select the Prog Chang device in the rac...

Re: Display Macro Value Name instead of Number
I take back my take back.... I still need help... I'm able to map the live.menu to a rack macro, but the macro is still showing numerical values (1-127) instead of the text values from the menu (bass, pads, etc). Can anyone provide direction on how to configure the M4L devise so that when I map to a...

Re: Display Macro Value Name instead of Number
I think I figured it out.... In fact I think I figured it out well over a decade ago and just forgot.... I remembered that I wrote a patch for a Korg M3 back in 2010 and that it had custom value names.... turns out I used a live.menu to do it. https://maxforlive.com/library/device/229/m3kontrol-m4l-...

Re: Display Macro Value Name instead of Number
@doubleUG, would you be willing to provide more details. Since your reply to my post I've looked on the web several times to gain a better understanding of how I might do this. I get how I can put parameter in different banks, but I've yet figured out how to give individual parameter values differen...

Display Macro Value Name instead of Number
For certain parameter, a rack's macro will display the value name instead of the value number... for example, if I assign a macros to the BeatRepeat grid, the display showed the beat divisions, rather than 0-127. Similarly, I would like to give parameter values a name that will display on Push's dis...

Re: Push + Polyrhythm + Probability
Thanks for the thought, baseinstrinct. I do have Repeat Pro, which is a great device, but it is definitely set up for mono and not very intuitive or useful for drums.

11.1 Won't Save Authorization
The authorization of 11.1 won't save. I have to authorize 11.1 every time I start Live. Has anyone else had this issue and resolved it? FYI, I've already tried an off-line authorization and these two help articles with no luck. https://help.ableton.com/hc/en-us/articles/209775165 https://help.ableto...

Re: "initializing midi inputs and outputs" frequently appearing
My UA Apollo 8 is compatible, but I don't use midi through it. All of my midi is through USB, except for one midi I/O device, which is not plugged in at the moment.

Did you ever gain resolution to this issue. I'm experiencing the same issue now. I have a new MacBook Pro M1 Max, macOS 12.1 and Ableton 11.0.12.

Re: Live 11 - keeping automation for new takes
I'm looking for similar options. Take lanes for audio are great, but the different automation performances that go with the audio are just as important to me. Anyone have suggestions on how to do multiple "takes" and keep the automation for each, then pick my favorite? ("automation co...

Re: TR-8S : Managing the latency
Same issue here... Just purchased a TR-8S and I'm finding the audio through USB quite useless at this point. A main reason I purchased the TR-8S is the audio through USB feature, as all of the in on my UAD Apollo 8 Thunderbolt are occupied. After installing the Roland drivers for TR-8S I created an ...

Re: Dynamically Map MIDI Controller to Specific Device on Each Channel (Like Console 1)
ClyohX Pro's Bindings add on does this, you'd use it as a plain MIDI Controller and define what it maps to via a text file... @S4racen Thanks for the tip on that. I took a look a the Bindings video on Isotonik. He did not cover the specific scenario I outlined, but one of the reviews described what...
