hmm, not sure i completely follow...
Live doesn't allow me to route a channel's audio to Record. even if it did, Record doesn't let me edit or assign inputs or outputs, whether i try via Preferences or directly from the sequencer.
i think i get your idea, but it doesn't seem to give me an option ...
