Is it possible to create a loop, a bass loop using a synth for example. And then specify the key as C. Then use that same loop later but specify a different chord such as E minor?
I am trying to understand what it is exactly that you would like to do. Chords and Keys are not synonyms - for ...

Is this possible in Live?
Sorry, but I've been away from Live for quite a while and the version I have is older (4 or 5 I believe). But I've been considering upgrading and using it some more but had a feature question. Is it possible to create a loop, a bass loop using a synth for example. And then specify the key as C. Then ...

Pattern templates based on key
I would love to have the ability to put several loops together to define a "template" and give the template a key. Then have the ability to play the template like a loop and change key to produce a chord progression. So if my loop were in C, as it played I could have it modulate to a minor, G major ...

My rendered files sound terrible
I sent a message to support but was wondering if anyone else has experienced something similar. I have only 2 audio tracks and 1 MIDI track... just a few loops and light effects (reverb, compression, EQ). Everything is arranged and plays fine in Live, but once I render, the audio track has volume ...

Live doesn't clean up the frozen files?
It appears that Live doesn't clean up a frozen wav file after the track has been unfrozen. I know we can clean them up by hand, but it seems like something Live should do.

Unfreezing MIDI track resulted in an audio track... bug?
I had a MIDI track (EZ Drummer VSTi) frozen and when I chose unfreeze it resulted in an audio track and I couldn't edit the MIDI data. Is this a bug, known issue, or did I possibly do something wrong? Thanks....

Re: Performance on my MacBook
I have first generation MacBook (DualCore) with 1 gig of RAM and I'm still fairly new to Live, but I'm finding that if I have more that about 3 or 4 audio tracks I start to get stuttering and dropouts and such. Is it just a matter of tweeking my audio settings (I'm using a firewire FA-66) and if so ...
