Resurrecting again...looking to do something similar...possibly the same thing, with a knob.
Essentially...it should be extending/stretching the vocal...e.g. "How are you" could become "how arrrrrrrrrre you" if the knob is turned, etc.

Re: Beatmatching and beat mixing is exhausting with Live...WHY?
Here's a great BPM automation tool...it's only for Ableton 9 though, won't work with 8 :\
If someone could port it to 8, that would be awesome.

Re: Spotify with Ableton?/Soundcard
I have officially made a breakthrough. I am playing Spotify through Ableton! Here's what to do: 1. Download VB-Audio Cable for Windows users. http://vb-audio.pagesperso-orange.fr/Cable/ 2. Install VB-Audio Cable. Open Ableton. In Preferences, select CABLE output. 3. Download Equalify. http://www.equ...

Re: dj template innovation ??
I'm in the same boat here. I have a custom template I've been building using snippets of things from here and there, with effects of my choice added. While I have an A and B deck, my slider is setup to crossfade in such a way that it doesn't mix between the 2 of them. When the slider is all the way ...

I believe in preparation. I find being prepared helps in whatever job you have.

USB Turntables
I'd like to get a USB turntable mainly for ripping vinyl to MP3, and when I'm not doing that I'd like it to function as a normal record player with my stereo. My budget is around $100 for this, could I get some recommendations?

Adding to the topic, was just curious if anyone used their 25-key keyboard to change tracks, etc to DJ, and how they were doing it.

Re: Using a Tablet or similar to control Ableton live?
I haven't gotten a Launchpad yet myself (I plan to in the next few months though)...but I'd consider the following:
Launchpad plugs right into your computer.
A tablet would require an internet connection, which may not always be available.

If someone has a template that involves Stutter Edit applied to a mic, I'd love to try it out btw.
