Select options

I'm completely astonished by the fact that there's no options for select.... Honestly... completely grounded.
I wanted to do a box select for specific points on the clip envelope volume editor, and I needed to select the whole timeline??? This is stone age editors.... Where is the lazo, box, circle ...

Yeco touchscreen controller

Sorry to jump in into the forum like this, but, has anyone tried Yeco controller for Live?
Is this still working with the recent version of Live?
What is your experience and what other good controller would you advise for a touchscreen PC?
I'm not interested on iPad controllers.
Thanks
Luca

Re: Ableton Re-analysisng files every time i open a set.

Try to do a "Collect and Save". It will copy all the files from all around the different directories, into one single folder of the project.
In that way you avoid to the computer to look for your file from the different sources.
It can fasten up the opening of the project a bit...

Re: Ableton 8 to 9 upgrade.

As your licence is registered with your email account, you can just go to Ableton website, click on Live 9 and attempt a purchase. As Live 9 is not available ATM, they will collect your information about your licence and tell you immediately on screen how much is gonna cost to you the upgrade.
My ...

Re: Audio drop out on large live set with SSD. MacBook Pro 2007

Just to give a quick update for who can be interested to the topic.
I've tried a different setting on Live for the Plug-in Buffer size, on the preferences of the CPU, (which is not the audio latency Buffer size!)and I've increased to 512 samples.

For the moment it seems to don't give problems.
I've ...

Re: Audio drop out on large live set with SSD. MacBook Pro 2007

do you get beachballs doing other stuff on your machine?

No dude, everything works exceptionally smooth since I've installed the SSD.
Even the CPU percentage while performing my live set doesn't go over 30%...

Re: Audio drop out on large live set with SSD. MacBook Pro 2007

First, optimize you programming. Are there loop clips (thus warped clips) that you could transform into a unwarped follow action that repeats itself(Play again)? Warped clips are hard on disk streaming.

second, I am not sure if you can do this, but when you format your SSD, try to make 128k or ...

Audio drop out on large live set with SSD. MacBook Pro 2007

Hello,
I'm programming my live set that I need to play on a gig the 19 January.

Everything is almost ready, clips edited and so on.

I was playing and practicing/testing my set and suddenly, during the mixing of tracks, the audio dropped out for a very long time.
I waited a while, tryed to play ...

Re: Putting together an hour-long original mix -Quick Questions-

From what I understand you are saying that you will be writing all of these songs from scratch for this mix?

If that is the case, I must first say good luck haha

I would definitely recommend writing all of the songs on separate files and then putting them all together on one project ...

Re: Putting together an hour-long original mix -Quick Questions-

Is this project going to be your live set with all your original tracks?
If that's the case, why don't you just bounce group of tracks and use them as stems? You don't really need to have real time processors like soft synths and drum machines. The maximum you can use is a couple of samplers loade ...
