Re: no automatic updates

No ideas but I have to download them manually on OSX too, despite having automatic updates switched on.

Re: Convolution reverb loose its setting after a crash.

I was also having this issue so I logged it with support and the loss of settings was reproducible. As such, it's been officially filed as a bug so hopefully we'll see a fix for it some time soon :)

Re: Best effect to improve thin/nasal sounding vocals

in addition to what Dragonbreath mentioned you can also try duplicating your vocal track and then panning one slightly left and the other slightly right. just don't over do it. this has the added benefit of making the track(s) seem louder so you'll probably have to use less gain... if any. Bear in ...

Recording into an audio track from a MIDI track question

Hi Wondering if someone can help me figure this out... I'm doing some sound design and have an instance of Massive on a MIDI track, the audio output of which I've got routed to an audio track (in arrange view). Programmed into the MIDI track is a single G which lasts for 8 bars and in Massive I've m...

Re: Ableton 9 remote Scripting: APC40 + BCR2000

you might consider nativekontrols mapease script, which among great other features has a setting which lets the bcr2000 follow the topmost remotescript This. I was having a pretty rubbish time setting up a BCR2000 until I discovered mapease. I think they also do a Push emulation for the APC40 (chec...

Re: Another user of the BCR2000 confused with Ableton Set-up

To switch mapping banks I press the row of buttons beneath the rotary encoders and each one I press generates a message in the status bar to let me know which bank I've switched to. Then turning the rotary encoders controllers the parameters in that bank. Not sure what's going wrong your end, sorry ...

Where did this go in Live 9? Is there a button I can press to bring it back?

Re: Another user of the BCR2000 confused with Ableton Set-up

I got mine to function as expected with the Live preset by using the dump button, no Er22. Might be worth checking the BCR2000 manual to see if there's a description of that particular error in case it highlights something specific to your setup. I'd also recommend this: http://www.nativekontrol.com...

No worries! I've got the macro named that way, which is enough really I suppose! Thanks for the tutorial.

Re: Looping 8 bars crackle pop at start

Yep, you problem sounds like a different one. In your case I'd try to rule out possible troublemakers by deactivating all the other tracks and every effect on the track with the operator and on the master. If the problem persists and it's not caused by the operator setting you have at least a solid...

Re: Create a kickass Kick with Operator, and forget about samples

Really nice tutorial dude, I learnt a few things about Operator there and now have a tasty, customisable kick preset! I've got a question you may know the answer to - I've mapped Osc B pitch envelope on/off to a macro, which is showing the default 0-127 when I move the dial, is there any way to chan...

Re: Create a kickass Kick with Operator, and forget about samples

Thanks TweakingKnobs! Despite being quite an experienced Live user, I've been pretty much exclusively using Logic for the last 8 months, which seems to have turned me into a Live retard! (I was pressing cmd I think)

Re: Looping 8 bars crackle pop at start

Hi Because789, that's definitely not the problem I'm having, but zero crossing points did spring to mind when I read the posts prior to mine. I figured that the difficulty I'm having was sufficiently similar (the 8 bar loop common denominator) to go in the same thread. :)
