Re: Browser Live 9 automatically closing Folders. Please stop!
I prefer the new behaviour actually, each to their own I guess! When I copied my Live 8 Library to the new PC for Live 9, Explorer indicated there were 92,703 items and 93.1 GB of data. [sarcasm] Just the other day I was thinking, "Ya know, this would be a lot easier if I could only access ONE...

Re: Migrating live 8 library to live 9
update: i think i realized a big error. to do what i wanted to do, if that's the right thing to do, it would make much more sense to drag everything into the browser so it files everything correctly, and then delete the 8 library to save space, rather than doing it in finder. maybe that will solve ...

Re: Live 9 browser NIGHTMARE !!!
Also, there's a typo in the Live 9 documentation: > 5.1.2 User Folders > . . . > In order to work with your own folders in Live, > you must first add them to the browser, either by > dropping them directly into Live from the Explorer > . . . > After adding a user folder, Live will scan it, > which ...

Re: Live 9 browser NIGHTMARE !!!
I always amazed at people saying "oh I think it's quite good!", the thing is riddled with bugs and pretty much unusable. The browser is a Joke I agree that there is a lack of basic file management in 9. I've cross-ported from Mac to PC (new pc w/afap ssd's) and after 4 re-install attempts...

Re: Group to drum rack... WHY WHY WHY did you take away!
For those of us porting an extensive library, adding "Path" to the browser fields to display actual hd paths would be a huge time saver. (Please?)Sean_Clarke wrote:It's back in the new beta....

Re: Does Live 9 support multiple VSTi folders yet?
On Windows, there's an easy solution to this problem: Install this free application . What it does is lets you create junction links , which are like shortcuts but completely transparent. So what you do is create a single VST folder that contains nothing but junction links, then put into that folde...

Re: please fix unwanted 'midi chase'
since i dont plan them to change that behavior i always make sure every region starts and end with zeroing the controllers/pitch bends, tedious but efficient well then...from this list: cubase, fruityloops, logic, protools, acid, ableton live, digitalperformer, sonar, nuendo, reason. You're saying ...

Re: please fix unwanted 'midi chase'
I've been working exclusively in session mode and lost time in every editing session because there is no MIDI chase function in Live. There should be a MIDI chase function (and envelopes in general), and it should be optional like *every other major sequencer* and it has been implemented by them sin...

Re: transposing clips
hi, is there way to set this up? you record the same clip simultaneously on two different tracks, on one of the two tracks you want the clip to be transposed an octave lower so you get two octaves of the same clip. Is there a way to program this so that you don't have to turn the transpose knob or ...

answer to your last question: rightclick on chainselector to activate cc routing to the active chain. About the rest of your post: I think you might wanna look into your midi-routing and midi preferences. If you already successfully recorded cc-data into your clip you need to send the mididata to t...

Playing back MIDI mapped CC messages to rack chains...
I've read the book, looked at the help, watched youtubers, and can't figure this out: How can a MIDI CC change be recorded into a clip and then used to select chains in a MIDI effects rack? The manual indicates it's possible, but it doesn't seem to work. Given that a series of racks in different tra...

Re: Website says . . .
Midi settings are saved on a per-project level. Generally what you'll want to do in this situation is map out everything and layout Live as you would like it to be when opening the program or starting a new project. Then go into preferences and save the Default Template - once saved every time you ...
