Pretty shitty on Akai's part, remember comparing them back when this was announced. An MPD32 cost around the same in the US as EU and the APC40 had a huge varation in price, components wise the controllers aren't a lot different, taxes and duty costs would be roughly equal. Ah! Shift button. Still a bit gimped. Shift buttons are a nightmare when you're on stage.

At first I thought, ok this is good for people with lots of controllers already, you're just loosing the encoders and crossfader etc.

Now that I look at it they've totally gimped the APC40, they've gotten rid of the navigation buttons so you're tied to those first 40 clips, you can't move the red ...

Select all 1 bar loops and can change actions for all at the same time, do the same for 2 and 4 and 8 and whatever.


That's assuming you have a specified length on the loops.

I have a midi effect sitting in a track and I want to send a bang from this effect to trigger a clip in the same track.

I see using the live.path object I can access track properties like volume pan etc but how to I access the clip matrix ?

Get a 500GB internal, really cheap now. I found it a pain when I had my Library on an external.
