Try this...take all your tracks down all the way and removing all compression eq etc. Then bring the primary sample you want to punch through your mix (usually the kick) up to about -6db. Don't take it up to 0db. Then bring each remaining sample up in turn, in priority order, while listening ...

Punchy kicks?
Im having a hard time with my drums. I layered the drums on a single track multiple times and it tends to peak out the master volume. And im still not getting the punchy kicks that i want. I tried to make another duplicated drum track, and that did help quite a bit, but its still peaking and not ...

If you wnat to work on your music theory get the program Sibelius student. Then read up on how to use the circle of fifths, or get the book Tonal harmony.

Now none of my midi tracks are working. Im trying to upload a screen shot. THe MIDI to option says no output and thereis no master opteion. Audio tracks working fine. What happened?

i am recording it in real time, but when i play it back it doesnt record. the variations. I mean, i am trying to record a sample so i can use it in my session. IM using the apc. Im going to tryo to rewire it to garage band and see if i can make an mpw of just that track. Time to figure out rewire ...

ok so my problem is that i have my midi controller mapped so that when i turn a knob it changes the LFO rate on the device, and when I go to record it, it doesnt record the changes in the rate.
