It's okay - everyone caught it yesterday. My new M-Audio controller packed up after just two days use, and combined with my lack of understanding of Ableton I wasn't happy.
I see the benefit of Ableton with the really easy mixing etc and I'm sure I'll have a play around with it. I was the same when ...

Yeah, well it's worked okay for me. In actual fact I used to use the Full Duplex one. Nobody told me and it worked fine for what I do (did). I record most of my stuff live using real guitar processors and get some great effects by way of a Fernandes Monterey Pro with infinate sustainer unit. It's ...

FINALLY (Not the scoring software)
I've finally managed to get the audio to work - but no midi as yet. I'm happier but it seems just a bit like using ACIDpro. If it can it to work better I might use it instead of ACID but I'm still not impressed as yet. Watch this spot - so what's this about Rewiring and how do I use Absynth?

I've managed to record it I just hear it on playback. I've checked absolutely everything and the whole thing to me is just rubbish.
I tell you what I'm getting more and more annoyed and should just uninstall it and turn the the bloody thing off and go and live in a log cabin but I can't and then I ...

Come on Roobear
Yeah, I've been trying EVERYTHING and still can't get no bloody sound. If it's that difficult to get some sound out of the thing then in my mind it's not worth bothering with - absolutely ridiculous. Is there a electronic shrine within the program where you have to pray to it to allow you to listen ...

Shocker
Thanks. I did read the manual but it just seems to talk as though you know what you're doing already.
I've done what you said but it hasn't made any difference whatsoever.
In the audio section the setting are as follows:
Mixer
Speaker On
The to the rights it reads

New to Ableton
I've just got Ableton 6 lite with a controller and thought I'd have a bash. However, I can't get anything to work. The instructions with it seem only useful if actually know what you're doing (which I don't). I currently use Cubase SX2 and prior to that Cakewalk. Ableton just looks very confusing ...
