Re: iPadOS version

I would love a lightweight Live version for the iPad, one that would integrate seamlessly with the PC/Mac version, so that it would be easy to get an idea started on the iPad and then keep working on the desktop/laptop.

Re: Mixing under a slanted ceiling?

Yeah, upside-down V is correct; the room is almost square, but has a non-loadbearing wall inserted on the left hand side to create a small storage space behind it.

Mixing under a slanted ceiling?

Does anyone have any experience with or tips for mixing in a loft room with a slanted ceiling? It’s relatively spacious and carpeted, so it’s not too reflective, but I don’t know where to face my monitors. Would it be better to face them towards one of the sides with the slanted ceiling (long ends) ...

Let's talk about CPU,

let's talk about all the good things
and the bad things (are they true?)
let's talk about it!

Re: vst3 Organization

I understand your concern. There could easily be more colours available for labelling. Have you tried the free ADSR Sample Manager for sorting your samples, though? I find it a lot easier to use than Live's browser. It can tag automatically (and you can add manually) and filter, etc. It runs as a pl...

Re: vst3 Organization

Use the colour label system in Live? Just give names to the various colours (eg red = 'Compressors', blue = "Reverbs"). Much easier than arsing about in Windows Explorer

Re: Replacement for Behringer BCR2000

i meant do a fresh install on another drive for testing... That said, the other thread szwagier referred to is probably mine, and I gave up. I tried the BCR on two computers, tried flashing the firmware via midi, uninstalling, reinstalling. I just couldn't be bothered any more. The BCR's brother, t...

Re: iPad

So I went ahead and got an iPad Pro 11", and I really like it so far, but does anyone know of a dongle that will let me connect both a USB MIDI keyboard and a simple pair of headphones? I tried with Bluetooth phones, but the delay was immense. I got the Apple USB-C to 3.5 jack, but that eats up the ...

Re: Waves plugins

I'll admit that the problem is pretty marginal in Live 10, as you can add a colour label to the individual units inside the shell, but I still find it rather silly.

Waves plugins

Am I missing something here, or are Waves plugins the most asinine thing ever? I'm not talking about the plugins as such, but the way they're hidden behind the "WaveShell" name in Live's browser (and the fact that the Waves installer app doesn't even let you pick the install location). Utterly idiot...

Re: iPad

I was under the impression that the 11" and the 12.9" were identical, save for the size?

Anyway: are there any non-Apple fanboys in this thread? I'd like to know how an iPad works alongside a PC; are there major advantages missed by not being all Apple?

Re: iPad

The latest generation of iPad pros have actually finally enticed me enough for me to seriously consider getting one. Quite an investment, though, especially since Apple charge so much for storage space, and because the Apple Pencil comes on top of that. I'd primarily use the iPad for design related ...

Re: NI Komplete Kontrol M32?

I'll sit on the fence for a while. The funny thing about all this is that it inspired me to start using Push a lot more again. And Jester: the trick of putting a dummy instance of Komplete Kontrol on one track is simply brilliant! I immediately included it as track # 1 in my default template. I also...
