Re: Mixing in mono on a single speaker?

Thanks for the replies!

I'll look into how to hook things up - maybe there's some kind of switch box, even? (Switching outputs in Live's preferences isn't that much of a hassle, of course, but the idea of just pressing a button or turning a knob is nice ;)

Mixing in mono on a single speaker?

For a long time I've been using Utility to collapse individual channels or the master to mono, in order to spot phasing issues. Recently, I've seen several recommendations to use a single mid-range (and not necessarily great quality) mono speaker for this task and for getting a better idea of what y...

Video issue in 10.1.3

For me, video has always been buggy in Live, but in the latest version, 10.1.3, the video window behaves very oddly. Instead of a sizeable "Windows" window, it's just a rectangle that occupies the upper left corner of my main screen, always on top when Live is the app in focus, so that I have to mov...

View two audio simultaneously for easy sync

I've re-recorded some dialogue for a video (ADR), and I really find myself wanting a feature that would let me superimpose an audio clip on top of another clip, so that I could easily sync them up perfectly by adjusting the warp markers of the new recording. Basically, it would be almost like multip...

Re: iPadOS version

Would you all pay the same price for an iPad version as the desktop version though? Like I mentioned in my previous post in this thread, I never pictured a "full" version on the iPad - more like a companion app of sorts, something that would let you seamlessly continue your iPad "sketches" on your ...

Parameter automation in NI Reaktor?

This is something I just cannot wrap my head around. In Kontakt, you can drag host automation ID's or whatever onto parameters (not all and always, but usually), and then you can use Live's "configure" feature to prepare it for automation. In Reaktor, I cannot figure out how to do this. Is there rea...

Re: iPadOS version

I would love a lightweight Live version for the iPad, one that would integrate seamlessly with the PC/Mac version, so that it would be easy to get an idea started on the iPad and then keep working on the desktop/laptop.

Re: Mixing under a slanted ceiling?

Yeah, upside-down V is correct; the room is almost square, but has a non-loadbearing wall inserted on the left hand side to create a small storage space behind it.

Mixing under a slanted ceiling?

Does anyone have any experience with or tips for mixing in a loft room with a slanted ceiling? It’s relatively spacious and carpeted, so it’s not too reflective, but I don’t know where to face my monitors. Would it be better to face them towards one of the sides with the slanted ceiling (long ends) ...

Re: vst3 Organization

I understand your concern. There could easily be more colours available for labelling. Have you tried the free ADSR Sample Manager for sorting your samples, though? I find it a lot easier to use than Live's browser. It can tag automatically (and you can add manually) and filter, etc. It runs as a pl...

Re: vst3 Organization

Use the colour label system in Live? Just give names to the various colours (eg red = 'Compressors', blue = "Reverbs"). Much easier than arsing about in Windows Explorer

Re: Replacement for Behringer BCR2000

i meant do a fresh install on another drive for testing... That said, the other thread szwagier referred to is probably mine, and I gave up. I tried the BCR on two computers, tried flashing the firmware via midi, uninstalling, reinstalling. I just couldn't be bothered any more. The BCR's brother, t...

Re: iPad

So I went ahead and got an iPad Pro 11", and I really like it so far, but does anyone know of a dongle that will let me connect both a USB MIDI keyboard and a simple pair of headphones? I tried with Bluetooth phones, but the delay was immense. I got the Apple USB-C to 3.5 jack, but that eats up the ...
