Lag and hiccups when using Push 1 (Live 10)
Whenever I've got Push connected in Live 10, there's a jump in audio and short lag/GUI freeze when I select a different track (both via Push and just clicking with the mouse) and there seems to be an increased latency when I'm playing notes with Push, particularly noticeable when I use note repeat. ...

Re: Live 11 and Camel Audio Alchemy
Ok, had to try it myself, and indeed it works. So this is an AU specific problem? Can't you run VSTs on Mac now, though?

Re: Live 11 and Camel Audio Alchemy
Really? Which VST2 version does Live 11 support? Ugh... Alchemy was getting sluggish, but it was still working. I wish there at least were a way of extracting the audio raw material from all the soundbanks I bought for it (other than rendering everything out manually). That acquisition was a really ...

Re: Native ClyphX implementation
I rely heavily on both Arsenal and ClyphX Pro, so I’m a little anxious about Stray’s silence over at the NativeKontrol forum too. However, word of mouth has it that he’s actually employed by Ableton at this point, so maybe he’s not allowed to comment right now? The NK product site seems to be down t...

Re: nativeKontrol Arsenal not working in Live 11
Just bumping stuff related to this. I've got both my Launch Control XL and Launchpad Pro set up with Arsenal scripts and ClyphX Pro actions, and the idea of using Live without these combos is very depressing... No word from Stray here or over at nativeKontrol's own forum. I too heard that he's now s...

Re: Undo / CTRL+Z stops working
I don't know the nature of Smash and Grab or what kind of plugin it is, but in a certain mode, Vocal Rider by Waves is an absolute nightmare, because it writes automation changes constantly, so it completely eats up your undo history.

Re: Live 11 is coming !!!
I really wish they’d included a selection bounce feature. Freeze and drag to new audio track creates a much bigger file than you need if there’s more in your original track than the selection/loop that you want bounced. Record to new audio track is unnecessarily tedious when other daws easily let yo...

I blame the Dewey decimal system.

What is the current Live version?
I'm a little confused. When I launch Live, the splash screen says 10.1.3, but when I go to my account on ableton.com, the version available for download is 10.1.25. What gives?

Re: Live 11 is coming !!!
I like the very laidback message that dropped in my inbox, simply “Live 11 is coming” :D Plenty of nice shiny things in there, but the nitty gritty is often the most interesting to me: Edit loops of multiple clips simultaneously, focus on a single clip in context and easily transpose entire arrangem...

Re: Do you turn off your Push 2 after daily usage?
P1 was PSU powered only so when I switch off my desk power it went off too which I much prefer but it's a first world problem to press another button. Nope, my Push 1 is certainly bus powered ;) The lights are a bit dimmer when not using the psu, which is nice late at night, but not so much in dayl...

Re: Mixing in mono on a single speaker?
So I ended up getting both the Behringer C50A and a Big Knob. My mixes started sounding better from the minute I clicked "place order" :P On a weird side note, the logo plaque on the speaker says "Auratone". I thought the photos on Thomann's website had been mixed up somehow, but the speaker is righ...

Re: Mixing in mono on a single speaker?
I use a single Avantone mono speaker to do my main mix.... it's a poor sounding speaker by itself (very prominent mids) ... if your mix can sound good on this speaker, it will sound great on your main monitors.... my main monitors are Yamaha HS7's but I use these to give the mix a final polish. To ...

Re: Mixing in mono on a single speaker?
Thanks for the replies!
I'll look into how to hook things up - maybe there's some kind of switch box, even? (Switching outputs in Live's preferences isn't that much of a hassle, of course, but the idea of just pressing a button or turning a knob is nice
