Re: Ableton recording limit?

For some reason they never consider this a priority. But consider this: Ableton Live is also used by folks to record DJ mixes or long live sets. And you get no warning that the limit has been reached and that Live cannot produce a larger file. Instead, it's still recording (nothing)... Imagine frust...

My bad! I didn't realise myself... Apologies! I think this topic can be safely removed then.

Almost one year since version 10.0.5 was released...

There is almost one year since version 10.0.5 was released. It's rather disappointing that the 10.0.6 update having so many fixes and enhancements is still due.

Re: audio interfaces

I am using MOTU 828es on macOS 10.13.6 with no issues, strange. But it's AVB series, not sure if it makes a difference. Anyway, it's super solid here. Presonus Quantum is another contender. It offers the lowest possible latency across a Thunderbolt 2 connection. I saw one on reverb.com for slightly ...

Re: Reverb plug in for Dub Techno?

Or you can use AudioThing Outer Space, which is indispensible tool for all dub music by itself, and you can switch the delay off and use the reverb only.

Re: Live 10.0.3: unclear bugfix with fade handles

I personally liked that, but it was apparently not by designed and so was qualified as a bug. We should probably make it clearer in the release notes. I personally find that adjusting fades as well as some other features should work in both automation and “content” editing modes, as otherwise it’s ...

Live 10.0.3: unclear bugfix with fade handles

Live 10.0.3 changelog says: [*]Fade handles could be edited using the mouse or keyboard, even after switching to Automation Mode, where the fade handles are not visible. I tried adjusting handles in automation mode and it does not work. I'd like to ask if anyone else has found a way to adjust fades ...

Re: ABLETON LIVE 10 + SLATE DIGITAL

Hey guys, I've been having issues with slate digital plug ins, I wrote to slate and they said the issue is with ableton. They said it will be fixed in the 10.0.3 update, any idea when Ableton is going to release the update? Just curious, what is the issue you are having with Slate Digital plugins? ...

Re: Ableton 10 slow to load instruments, drums, rack etc...

L10 is slower to load samples. That's fixed in the latest beta though. Well, it takes about a minute to load a small live set in Live 10.0.2. It does not even contain M4L devices. It does contain samples, though. Why does it take so long to load? For the reference, my system is iMac 2017 27" 3.5Ghz...

Re: 10.0.2 release date?

Only applies if you have custom scripts and things which you should make a backup of anyway then if needed, manually copy them back. No biggie. It sure is, as there are a few dozen of updates per year and it's actually rather annoying to copy the custom themes/remote scripts back to app-resources e...

How can you update a non-beta version without replacing the application file? I must be missing something.

Re: long recording sessions

Bummer! Sounds like something we could put forward as a feature request. As I understand i the 2 GB limit is not Ableton's fault but your proposal of creating a new file sounds reasonable I just sent them a message to support@ableton.com. To me it actually looks like a terrible bug capable of...

long recording sessions

Hi all, I am feeling like a noob. Perhaps, I forgot that Live has these horrible limitations and is not designed to record sessions bigger than 2 GB in size.. Yesterday I was recording a long DJ mix from external mixer through my audio interface. I hit the record button in the arrangement, made sure...

Re: Remember the Bloody Audio Interface!

I believe each audio device has a unique device identifier that can be used by Live to store I/O channel information along with it, so when it's used next time, the configuration is restored. I can't believe this can't be done. No? Then can you please tell me how to rename the channels of my audio ...

Re: Remember the Bloody Audio Interface!

I'm not sure how much of this is OS audio level related, but I'm pretty sure Live works quite low level and does rely on the CoreAudio API in macOS for instance. I believe each audio device has a unique device identifier that can be used by Live to store I/O channel information along with it, so wh...
