....I'm not sure if they still have problems with rental cars bearing plates that clearly identify them as such and you as a tourist, but check to make sure.... A few years ago a group of my surfer bros went to Costa and were kidnapped. Seriously. They were camping a block from a police station in a...

Hmmm. I used to have an Axiom and I found it excellent. you don't find that you have to hit it overly hard to produce a high velocity??? I have an axiom 25 and use my friends 61 quite a bit and find this to be a HUGE problem. The overly tight action also seems to add to latency. If you aren't a key...

Re: BFD2 vs Battery & Session Drums
If you own Battery and Session Drums, is BFD2 a worthwhile purchase? Does it offer any significant workflow enhancements and/or samples that you don't get or aren't redundant with Battery or Session Drums? Do either of these products provide you with drums that sound like a real live miced drum kit...

Would love to hear opinions on the two keyboards here: They are similar, but have their differences. http://www.musiciansfriend.com/product/MAudio-Axiom-49-49Key-USB-MIDI-Controller?sku=706314 one word aftertouch I can't trash this keyboard enough with one word so my post won't be as eloquent as yo...

IF you can, try and download all the latest drivers for your motherboard and videocard now while you still have things working somewhat. Burn those an any other drivers you might need (soundcard, printers, etc) to a DVDr before you wipe. Just in case, at least you'll have the core system up and run...

PC Format/Wipe and Reinstall - Tips/Potential Issues
My laptop has been crawling for the last year, I've been meaning to do a wipe and restore to factory default for sometime; the last straw was a crashed uninstall of norton security which has left me with crippled internet access, only certain sites etc....after hacking the registry and clearing most...

I don't think its an issue of living in the past. When I think about hip-hop that's progressive and cutting edge I think of MadLib's Quasimoto albums, El-P's stuff, Cage's last album, Subtitle, Buck 65, Subtle, etc. I mostly enjoy music that is smooth and grooves. Unfortunately, most 'underground' ...

couple of points.... I think Wayne is talented but more in the way Snoop is...with a flow, sound, and vibe that a lot of people love. Wayne is probably a lot more conscious than his marketers would have you believe, check his work on boondocks season 2. Anyway, check out boondocks season 2 if you ar...

Yeah, great article. It still sucks that he's not gotten the respect he deserves. There's two guys that completely created new rhythm styles/patterns from scratch: James Brown and Bo Diddley. word...Diddley was the man. The 'bo diddley' rhythm he introduced on electric guitar is rooted in African m...
