I'm guessing this feature/function doesn't exist then?

Is there a way to re record in arrangement view? IE hit record again to restart a take vs stop - undo - record?

You say "Stick with Ableton" which leads me to believe you have it already? Just try it out if so. When you right click audio In your menu you have convert Harmony/Melody or Rhythm to midi, so it's contextual based on the audio part. The type of instrument can have a bit impact as well but...

Ahh, well thanks for the sanity check, I thought i was just overlooking the feature.

Another way of doing the same thing I guess would be browsing to the kit sample you want in the browser and drag that into a simpler.

Is there a way to quickly chop audio into equal time divisions in Ableton? Say I have a region that's 4 bars long and I want to mangle it in 16ths, is there a way to quickly split the region into 16ths or do you have to manually split on each 16th?

Goto system preferences>Sound and make sure the Duet is selected for output. Sounds like it isn't.

I gave this a shot and what I'm getting after loading a drumset into Group A in Maschine is the same sample triggered at different pitches.
