Re: Sampling with Push
Man, they still haven't fixed this? How hard could it be to add this functionality?
Is it just because whoever designed it never thought of recording or manipulating samples with Push?

The inter-app audio in iOS 7 is going to change everything even more. Again.

Re: Sitting on the Fence - Push or Maschine
Is Maschine's timestretching non-destructive like Live's? Currently Maschine has top quality offline timestretch built-in which is non-destructive. It doesn't overwrite the original in the process, and it's easy to undo. Maschine will be getting realtime timestretch like Live though, probably for 2...

Re: Sitting on the Fence - Push or Maschine
As an example Addictive Drums comes with "thousands" of built-in patters/MIDI files. To be fair in those thousands there are slight variations and fills. It's not thousands of completely unique patterns. They are organized in genre by name (rock, funk, blues, etc.) Play any pattern and wh...

Re: Sitting on the Fence - Push or Maschine
Man. This instrument argument is flat out ignorant. Maschine can play chords and/or leads perfectly fine on its own. Although you probably would be better off playing one Or the other. When you throw the word 'self respecting' into an argument, I tend to consider you a bafoon by default. It is a te...

Re: I bought a Maschine Mikro while waiting for PUSH
I didn't say it cannot be done. Just saying that it's far from ideal for certain techniques like playing on the same pad with two fingers. While it might work ok for you, the smaller size of the Push pads are going to make it more difficult for a lot of people in comparison to regular sized drum pad...

Re: I bought a Maschine Mikro while waiting for PUSH
Will finger druming player get better user experience with smaller&cramped pad than with bigger MPC-style pad? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rB_jV6xnM6Y https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vA2CyYdrBLQ Are they comfortably playable with smaller/cramped ones? :? I think it would depend on your styl...

Re: I bought a Maschine Mikro while waiting for PUSH
And holy fuck do I LOVE this thing!!! I should bought one of these YEARS ago!!! I have the Mikro MK2 and now I really am thinking about dropping the extra couple hundred for the full one. This is exactly the workflow that I've always been looking for and it feels amazing! I can't believe I waited s...

Re: Thoughts on Push by those who have it now?
I've used Configure to set VST parameters for DIVA, including changing oscillator and filter modes, and it has completely reinvented the synth for me. The problem with using Configure to set up plugin parameters beforehand in order for them to show up on Push is that none of that gets saved so you ...

Re: Auditioning Sounds from Push - Is it Possible?
So far, the biggest limitation (of the negative sort, there are plenty of them that work in your favor) is an inability to audition or hotswap from the controller. After putting the time into redesigning the browser for live 9, there doesn't seem to be that much of a relationship between the GUI br...

Re: Thoughts on Push by those who have it now?
- Playing sustained notes on the pads in note mode is a little harder than I expected. Despite adjusting the sensitivity and the response curve, I seem to have to keep some pressure on a pad to keep the note sounding, but too much pressure activates the aftertouch. Since there's no movement to the ...

Re: Sitting on the Fence - Push or Maschine
My impression is that Maschine is focused on sampling. Sampling for me is technical work better done in the box as I like to be pretty precise and then I like to cut, chop, and rearrange in Arrangement view in Live or just dump a bunch of samples into Reason and arrange. That's not to say I couldn'...

Re: Sitting on the Fence - Push or Maschine
I don't mind doing my sampling in the box as I tend to do a lot of editing (breakcore/idm). I think this is what made me go for the Push. I was lacking an instrument for creative writing. A keyboard or piano roll can get repetitive for me as I often end up using the same scales. Initially I was jus...
