Re: How close can you get to running 1 instance on two computers

Well, we would like to tag team dj with eachother. But with midisync only one computer can change tempo. A long with either of us not being able to crossfade out of eachothers tracks from one computer to another.

How close can you get to running 1 instance on two computers

I am guessing running the same instance of Ableton on two computers is impossible. But what is the absolute closest you can get? We have tried midi sync, but the inability for the slave to adjust the tempo and also not being able to cross fade out of each others tracks with the APC is a big bummer. ...

Re: Midi map crossfader on a friends computer?

Thanks guys. We decided to just hook them up to the same computer  .

It would be very cool to be able to run the same ableton instance on both computers. But it seems that type of coolness isn't quite here yet.

Midi map crossfader on a friends computer?

Hi everyone. Been burning my brain cells trying to figure this out. The idea is to tag team DJ with two computers and two seperate APC 40's. However we are wondering if it is possible to midimap to each other. I.E. Midimap my crossfader to his computer. So when I start fading in my track it turns do...

Clip launcher (program?)

Is there a third party clip launcher that isn't an external controller but a program in the computer?

Re: Have you heard this sound...? o...m...g... unreal

That particular sound unbelievable though. You need to go to a show to really feel the emotion of parts like that. Deadmau5 played that version of raise your weapon and it was the only part where people actually got into it and waved their hands on the same beat. This stuff thickens the air at shows...

Have you heard this sound...? o...m...g... unreal

Noisia remix of raise your weapon. Starts at 4:04 but the magic happens at exactly 4:06. It gets swallowed. Any ideas? whether a fan of this genre or not you have to admit that sound is amazing. If you have a sub you can really hear the swallow of it. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FzPITNQHOic

I know you can instal on two computers, but how?

I am on my second computer and when I push "activate online" in Ableton, it brings me to the "your licenses" on the website. All it shows me is my current activated license, with a button next to it saying "request unlock". I have pushed request unlock and sent an email asking for it, but from what ...
