Re: Does the DSI Tetra work well in Live?
I am pretty sure some parameters might be missing, but for my needs it is fine, I also use the editor sometimes, I don't really automate a lot of stuff (probably just filters, envelopes, etc...) when I am done designing my sound, so the max for live template is enough or even just using the correct...

Re: Does the DSI Tetra work well in Live?
The only quarrel I have with the Tetra is that I can't figure out how to get all four oscillators to sound the same. It seems like a volume thing. I try to balance it with the voice balance controls at the end of the global menu but it doesn't seem to quite do it

Still no way for legato polyphonic sampler?
I searched. Is there still no way to have an instance of a sampler playing polyphonically and legato? I mean is there a way for, when new notes overlap the old ones, the envelopes to not retrigger? Turning retrigger off works only for notes of the same pitch I think. I'd really like to be able to pl...

Re: when 'distribute samples equally' .... doesn't.
:P I shoulda done the math, shouldn't I? Thanks for pointing out the obvious. Distribute to ranges 0 to n-1 Then reset macro knob map to same range perfect. Thus one learns  It's all good yo! Don't you dare go round blushing like this mofo -> Nein!!! Haha. Another day, another t...

Re: when 'distribute samples equally' .... doesn't.
If you stretch them all out from 1-74 and then click "distribute samples equally" it should be fine then. Let me know (:

Re: when 'distribute samples equally' .... doesn't.
Maybe try making sure that their ranges fill up the entire space first, and THEN selecting "distribute samples equally". I've had problems when their not all filling up the complete range prior to that command but taking that precaution always generates positive results for me.

Re: subtracting waveforms?
have you ever tried rx or xnoise? i think you didnt, because they work on any noise, even the randomest of them all, pure noise  no shit Sherlock. that has fuck-all to do with the original question. noise reduction tools have been around for decades. the notion of why you can't just sample an...

Re: subtracting waveforms?
Tone Deft I see your point if you're trying to say he won't get a perfect result. I get that the noise is random, but he'll still probably get a decent result. If there are too many artefacts then he'll move on to something else, but maybe it'll be just the right thing!

Re: subtracting waveforms?
Yes at all. The only one I've used is Logic's - or maybe it was Soundtrack Pro - but there are plenty of noise removal utilities out there. You say what the background noise is, do something like "set noise print" and then it subtracts that noise out from the recording. It can lead to arti...

Wishful thinking
Maybe us first batch of Push users are actually beta testers, and Ableton is reading this forum thoroughly - updating the Push vehemently for the next batch - and we'll all get the new version when it comes out as a token of thanks for beta testing for them!
Maybe!
