Re: [HELP] - Installing on one SSD or External Drives? 2014

My advice...... Install Win 7 instead. Ryder, Why do you say Win7 instead? It's Win7 I've got at the moment running Live, Maschine etc. I've got Win8 on artwork machine (Photoshop/Flash/Premiere) and I don't mind the OS. Does it not play ball with Live or something? It's meant to give quicker times...

[HELP] - Installing on one SSD or External Drives? 2014

Looking to do a fresh Win8 install on my laptop. At the moment I have a 256GB SSD in the laptop with external libraries on an external drive. I'd like to not use an external drive as it's a pain as has to 'dangle' from laptop when laptop is on lap! I use AbletonLive, Komplete 9 & Maschine, some ...

Re: more KNOBS - not too expensive, not too cheap

BCR2000 is a wealth of knobs with LED feedback. It's built like a tank but unfortunately weighs the same as one and needs an AC power supply. Both major downsides for me and why I got rid of mine. I've also owned a Novation Zero SL MkII. You've said that it's "expensive" but it's not that ...

Re: NI Maschine Sale!!!

"...current compatibility with the existing controllers will always remain an important focus for us." They don't say "full compatibility" though. If they were to release a Maschine 2.0 with new features (e.g. 25 keys/sliders/x-fader etc) these could be implemented in the softwar...

Re: NI Maschine Sale!!!

Although I will admit Maschine is shit hot for programming beats that can be then bounced and thrown into Ableton. For exactly that reason, only £199 for Mikro is a good deal. I have an Akai MPD32 with thicker pads that I love but one thing that annoys me is remembering whats on what pad or current...

Re: Live Performance Questions, need advice!

I used to have a emu 1616m cardbus. Great bit of kit but sold it when I got a new laptop without a slot.
I then went and got a little indestructable thinkpad for live performance and it turned out they have a slot :(
Damn!

Re: NI Maschine Sale!!!

I reckon that Akai are aware of their shortfalls in the past and don't want to let down the fanboys so this is why it's taken so long for this promised line of products to get to market. They'll have been working on this product long before NAMM and will have been finishing it off and thoroughly bet...

Re: NI Maschine Sale!!!

It's the software unfamiliarity (personal preference) and restrictions (widely known) that put me off Maschine. Now, I know it's not a DAW but it really should have some basic DAW features and better sequencing. It looks like the Akai's have a better grasp on sequencing with it's more of a timeline ...

NI Maschine Sale!!!

I never ever made the jump and got myself Maschine, even after lots of consideration and debates about it. However, with their current sale on them (£199 Mikro / £329 Maschine) it is VERY tempting. One thing is holding me back though ... The forthcoming Akai Renaissance. Will they do it better than ...

Re: YOUNG PERSON SEEKING ADVICE

Dude, you're just 20, still young with your life and career ahead of you. If you choose to go for the internship it'll give you a taste of the industry you think you'd like to be in. If it goes tits-up then you can always go back to college/university. I'd say give the internship a go. Someone said ...

Re: Voice/Audio to midi in real time?

This might interest you. It'll convert guitar/bass/voice/wind to midi. http://www.sonuus.com/products_i2m_mp.html I've been thinking about getting the bass guitar one but might invest in this newer one for both guitar and bass (and more). I guess that the technology should be more up to date than th...

Dude, i'd remove any adverts from this blog if you are offering links to copyrighted material.
If you are seen to be making any profit from this page you can get into a WHOLE lot of trouble.
Yup, even if you're just linking to it.

delicioso,
That is one excellent maschine template you've made there.
I'm not a maschine owner but have considered getting it in the past and keep my eye on all the templates etc that folk create. Yours seems the most simplest and common sense without un-needed nonsense.
