I had a very prompt reply from Ableton support on this subject. It is something they are aware of and was overlooked in redesign of v9 browser. They are unable to state when it will be re instated.

has live 9 changed the way it loads midi files? in live 8 you could select a partiular track from the midi file and just import that track. This doesn't seem to be the case with Live 9 - it brings in all the tracks.

Am I missing something?

Can anyone explain the following
I use a FCB1010 to control Live and an Adrenalinn guitar processor.
the Adrenalinn is set to receive midi (CC messages) on channel 2 (Live on channel 1).
I setup a midi track in Live with input from my M-audio usb interface ; channel 2 and output to M-audio ...
