Re: MIDI CC control of a warped audio clip loop length?

Please ignore, I figured it out, was doing something stupid and couldn't enable MIDI learn, but got it sorted.

MIDI CC control of a warped audio clip loop length?

I would like to use a hardware controller to send MIDI cc messages to Live to control the loop length (and possibly loop position) of a warped audio clip. Is this possible?

If not, is there a way to do it within Sampler or Simpler?

matrixctrl bug - 'has image mask' not being saved

When using a matrixctrl object, and select a cell image file that has an image mask (either .pct or .png), I can see the correct behavior within the Max patch as I am editing it, but when I save the .amxd, the image mask does not work correctly within the Live device. See image below:

Re: "Old" pluggo plug-ins incompatible with Live 8.1

Here is a way that one can at least temporarily run Pluggo-based plugins in Live 8.1 (though at the expense of not being able to concurrently use an MFL device). This is for Mac systems only, but I'm sure there is a similar set of instructions for Windows.

Ctrl-click the Live application, and ...

Re: "Old" pluggo plug-ins incompatible with Live 8.1

Yes, this is a major problem for me, as a developer that sold/continues to sell Pluggo-based plugins. Hopefully there can be a way to temporarily disable MFL functionality within Live 8.1 to allow these plugins to work? There are *lots* of Pluggo-based plugins out there (commercial and free) that ...

Mattijs, I thought that Pluggo-plugins didn't even work in the vst~ object staring in Max 5?

New CPU improvements much appreciated. It would idle at 15% before and now it does about 5%. Time to place my order!

You're welcome - it was because of feedback like yours on previous versions that I worked hard on efficiency in this new 2.0 version. That and Multi Mode, which was by far the ...

I have the Windows port completely functional, but the user interface and timing is too "glitchy" enough for me to feel comfortable in releasing it.

Since Max/MSP 5 is on the horizon, and since UI is one of the things that Cycling has apparently addressed in that update, I'm optimistic that once ...

Yes, the presets are automatable and midi assignable (as CC messages).

Valid points, though I think that most folks tend to use a single OS, regardless of the tools available on other platforms. There *really* must be a burning need to push a person to add a machine or switch to another OS just for a single tool.

Just wanted to mention on this old thread that there's a new version of Major Malfunction now available that significantly lowers the CPU use of the plugin. It also allows multiple effects to be triggered on each step in the grid (in serial or parallel). More at http://www.defectiverecords.com ...
