Minimalism in electronic music | Ableton Live, Fors Glanta & Kit

https://youtu.be/g7obTn1g3d4 I was inspired this week by a video from @OoraMusic talking about minimalism in electronic music and his approach. He talks about some great artists like Caterina Barbieri, Eliane Radigue and others, and I have been listening to this music lately with great pleasure. Thi...

Re: Trackers

I haven't looked at Sunvox. If you have not tried any tracker, they seem complicated at first, but once you know 2 or 3 basic things they are very easy to use and intuitive. I will have to take a look at Sunvox also

Re: Trackers

Back in the day, in the 90s, I knew there were trackers but I have no interest in them. Instead I was fascinated about Cubase or Samplitude. In fact, I didn't even understand how they worked. Now it's different. And now that I understand them, trackers are easy and fast. And a very powerful solution...

Trackers

Hardware trackers have seen a revival in the 2022, with the Polyend Tracker, the Dirtwave M8 and the already existing Nerdseq. Do you think we will continue seeing new trackers in 2023?

Felt piano and Casio VL1

We are not yet in Autumn, but this feels as if it would. Melancholic, sad and fragile can be said to describe this song.

Volando entre las nubes | Felt piano and Deluge.

I put some felt between the hammers and the strings to obtain this muted piano sound. I like how the piano feels so delicate, intimate and fragile. I also used my beloved Deluge for the electronics

Paseando por la playa

Boards of Canada inspired track, recorded during the hot summer days of Marbella, with a chill relaxing lofi character. I play Deluge and piano, sometimes muting or playing directly the strings inside the piano.

I recorded my modular synth to make a samplepack full of noises, processed thru filters, bitcrushers,...

These days I have been working in something I was meaning to do in a long time. I've got this fantastic eurorack modular synthesizer I've been building over the last years, choosing with love and a lot of thinking every module. It's really a beautiful instrument and very unique. So today I have been...

Blue cables for mono audio, green/red for stereo, white for CV controls, yellow for modulation.

I like to be able to visually see my signal paths when I'm working.
I didnt think about this strategy. I see it could be very useful to have a better understanding of the patch. Thanks :D

What are your patching and unpatching strategies for your modular synth?

I mostly use Doepfer cables and all of them have a color/length relationship, so I know exactly what cables are longer and what are shorter. For me, this is the quickest way to manage the cables. Talking about unpatching, I tend to place them in order, by colors, in my cable holder (a gift from Ladi...
