Re: Conservative settings for Multiband Dynamics?
Thanks everyone for the help. Its much appreciated as I'm new to the whole 'mastering' process and it can be very overwhelming 8O . 3dot... great point about using the presets and adjusting the threshold to taste, I didn't think about that. Also, YES I have found it is very useful to save different ...

Cool, I'm not making CDs, just putting on soundcloud, so I guess I can export the final thing at 32 bit?
Thanks again for the help

Re: Conservative settings for Multiband Dyhttps://forum.anamics?
Thanks very much for the advice... I may try just the low band on the MB for the kick and then a stereo compressor. Stereo compressor after the MB? I'm not just using it cuz its there, but because I want to use compression on the track without having the kick make the stereo compressor go mad like i...

Conservative settings for Multiband Dynamics?
Hey, So I have been learning a lot about mastering lately and the one thing I am still the most confused about is abletons multiband dynamics. Once I have all my levels, panning, eq, etc done I bounce the track to a new set and then put eq, multiband, and a limiter on the master bus. Does anyone hav...

Re: Beat The Clock
Hey Everyone, Been listening to a lot of great tracks made for this contest. Favorite... can I say mine, haha? Thats just personal preference cuz I got it to sound what I like, but as far as BEST track I definitely liked Mr. Bill's due to the great production quality, esp in 24hours. Heres mine: htt...

Clipping
Is a track clipping in ableton when small bits of orange flicker in the level or only until it turns red? Sorry for the n00b question but I am having minute glitching sounds in my tracks when uploaded online and want to make sure I do everything to prevent this in the future! Whats the best practice...

POPs in track
I'm working on a track and after uploading it to soundcloud I keep hearing some very minot (but annoying!) 'pops' and glitching type noises in the track... I don't think its my mixing as it sounds fine before uploading it and i've never had this problem before when putting tracks up. I don't think I...

Re: Introduction and Plug-In advice
Thanks all, went with omnisphere. 6 disks and half a day later its installed and it is BEASTLY! Yeah, maybe I'll get komplete at some point but pretty damn happy with just omni, sylenth, suite, and some sample packs for extra drums and perc. Time to focus on the day job... although all I can think a...

Omnisphere in ableton
Okay so I just picked up omnisphere after trying it I just had to get it. I installed the disks and now am trying to open it and authorize it in ableton. I can't seem to do this. It doesn't show up in the plug-in folder. It says I need to 'instantiate omnisphere in my host sequencer' I am assuming t...

Re: Introduction and Plug-In advice
Went to guitar center and played around with some of the softsynths... holy crap omnisphere and trillion are insane 8O. If only I could drop 470 like it was nothing. Gotta DL the demo of all the NI products to see what I think, but from what the dude was telling me at GC they aren't going to be able...

Re: Introduction and Plug-In advice
AWESOME. Thanks for the input, this is a big help. I'm considering going the komplete route... holy crap they have a lot of stuff in that package! I think that would satisfy me for years. I live across the street from a guitar center so I think I'm gonna walk over there and just see if they have dem...

Thanks for the advice! I already have suite, but will definitely check out these options. U he sounds like a great option, and I've heard good things about reaktor.
