Max for Live AutoFilter?
In this video he uses "Max for Live AutoFilter" I've got the latest Max for Live installed and as far as I know I have all the free packs installed. I have no such effect on my list. Under Max Audio Effect, it goes from "Max AutoPanner" to "Max Comb Filter." Where do I ...

Live 9 cannot find VSTs
I recently downloaded the tutorial files, tutorial videos, and PC software from Computer Music Magazine's vault for the March 2015 issue. I did all the work in Cubase from the videos, but now want to go back to Live and check some of their settings, especailly parts they skipped in the videos. When ...

Re: Fruity Formula Controller Live Equivalent?
Oh. That is indeed possible in Live 9. Wit the max for live LFO. I don't think so. http://christopherpisz.ddns.net/temp/lfo.jpg What I want is on the left, what I got with Max LFO is on the right. You can't seem to control the smoothness or shape of the jitter, but only how frequently it occurs.

Fruity Formula Controller Live Equivalent?
I am trying to achieve what this fellow did at ~5:49 in his video. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Hv09Syo9kAI What can I do in Live to achieve the same controller effect? I tried the Max for Live LFO that comes with the 9 suite and the random setting is too extreme in its jitter frequency and too s...

Saving to your user library - Sends?
I am starting to use sends more and more. Recently, I started doing things like sidechained reverb, which sounds really neat. However, I like to save my work and be able to pull up "demos" of instruments, midi, and the effects, so I can hear them how they were intended to be used later on....

Anyone know how to modulate multi-out Battery in Live9?
If I click the typical configure button in Live and click Battery 4 controls on cells such as volume, it doesn't show up. I am wondering if there is a way to modulate battery from live? I usually set up each cell to go to a separate audio track for processing and would like to keep doing that. Previ...

Live 9 - Nothing showing up in Left Panes
I went and tried to install NI Komplete Kontrol, and I don't know if it is related or not, but now nothing shows up in the left panes when I am using it on a user account. If I run Live9 as Administrator, everything shows up. by left panes, I mean there are no instruments, Audio Effects, Midi effect...

Re: Multiout - Clip Envelope
It sounds like you could use dummy clips. Extremely useful things. Here is a basic example: https://www.ableton.com/en/blog/dummy-clips-quantize-courses/ That works. Not so easy to quickly hit play one both clips as I go at exactly the right time, but I can mess with duplicating bars and the Launch...

Multiout - Clip Envelope
I have Battery 4 set up to send each drum to its own audio channel. My snare is on 3/4 for example, so that way I can add processing effects on each individually. That's well and good, but now how can I modulate them individually in session view? The midi track is only on the main channel that hosts...

Multiple umm takes from Session View
I've made a little DJ set inspired by Toms Cosm's Psytrance Jam Template. I cannot believe how much I've learned and how things are coming together. A few nights ago, I hit record and just clicked through the clips in session view. The result had some good transitions I want keep and analyze later. ...

Operator - Sample and Hold LFO
I got a hold of one of Tom Cosms jam templates and am studying some of the instruments he made. One of the particularly more interesting ones is done with Operator with 2 independent osc, a LP with env, and an LFO with "s&h". It pretty much sounds like independant notes that go up and ...

Volume level of instruments during sound design/composition
I thought for a long time, according to my google searches, that it was best to aim for -6db on each track while doing sound design and laying out your composition, in order to leave headroom. However, After doing that for quite a while, I think its bull. My master track starts clipping after 4-5 tr...

Transcribing Tips?
For funsies I like to listen to a tune I like on Pandora, then Youtube it, and try to duplicate the sounds and midi. I can only really do basic ones though. Does anyone have any tips on making trascribing easier? It is usually not too hard to figure out the key and the notes of the lines, but the ti...
