If you use a rack, it's just the name of the rack that will be displayed.
(So you need to know what is inside the rack)

you can even use the scale midi effect after the arpegiator to be sure the note are in key.

I'm creating a Kick using Metrum on a Midi track1.
I have no effect here, no effect on the master.
I create an audio track and I set the track1 as an input.
I record.
Than I compare the sound of both and there is a clear difference!!!

Does someone has experieced that?
Is it normal with ableton?

Edit contents of multiple tracks together. You can see them all juxtaposed and isolate only the ones you want to edit.

Wouldn't be great to be able to visualize every instrum and effects that is insterted on all tracks at ones on the session view?

In fact I'm thinking about the way Logic Pro 9 shows the Insert effects.
