automation problems in first slot

hi, i have trouble automating volume for the first slot (leftmost track in session, top one in arrange) from the arrange window when drawing envelopes. i am using large audio files (4-8 minutes) for djing and tend to move the slots back and forth, but it's always just the first one i have problems w...

we're hoping multi-outs will come with 10.2, as far as i know no one has them working with 10.1

the latest emi drivers for OS 9 were a HUGE improvement... i'm hoping for the same for X

and yes, it would seem future support should be quite good :)

thanks for the response! i have max/msp also so if you do release them in that form that'd be great. i do realize you're very busy, i just figured i'd throw the suggestion out there since i like the plugins. thanks again

ha, just tried it and you're right! no need to be sorry, i'd rather be an idiot and have overlooked my feature than not be one and not have it...

thank you!

btw, unsurprisingly, the os x version still starts choking in the 50-60% range with the emi and 1.5.1... probably need to wait for 10.2 to sort everything out there, along with the multiple outs

vst versions of your plugins

i don't know how hard it would be to do, but if it is relatively easy, it would be really cool if you could release vst versions of the built-in live effects so we could use them with other audio software. i like to prototype stuff in live and then finish it off in logic, and it would be great to be...

emi 2|6 v2.0 + live v1.5.1 = me happy

i just upgraded both my emi asio driver (just released and available online at emagic.de) and live at the same time... i have only done an initial quick test with macos 9, but i was able to get > 80% processor used on my powerbook g3/400 with none of the audio dropouts that previously plagued me abo...

save a default tempo/warp markers for a specific audio file

would be great if you could save a tempo, and ideally the warp markers from one of your clips, as the default for a given file. it could either be in the .asd or a separate file. this way you wouldn't have to fiddle with individual loops for each new song, you just do it once and save the markers, t...

ableton has a tutorial:

as far as i know, the tempo-detection doesn't work on longer loops. you have to set the tempo manually by stretching the warp markers.

lockups on waveform zoom in 1.5, macos 9.1

i am editing warp markers in large aiff files for laptop djing... the files are 40-80 megs usually. i set the loop length to 16 bars and place a warp marker at the end of every 16 bar loop, then advance the loop start point 16 bars so the start is the end of the last one, adjust the waveform view an...

nope, you can only do it with a single interface that has multiple stereo outputs. it doesn't work with two different cards.

the new titaniums should have stereo audio in and out on minijacks. i don't have one, so you know better than me, but apple's web site claims they do.

for midi you definitely need an external interface.

an interface like the emi 2-6 is useful if you want to use a separate pair of outputs connected to headphones to preview clips, or if you just want to send multiple outputs to a mixer for effects, etc. if you don't need that, i would just go with the built in powerbook sound.
